5 Do-It-Yourself Facial Masks

Spring’s finally here! You’re definitely prepared for it, but is your skin? Today we present 5 do-it-yourself facial masks that will make your skin soft, smooth and fabulous.

1. Kiwi Facial Mask

This beauty mask will make your skin more elastic and brighten it. Plus, it smells amazing!

Ingredients:

  • 2 pureed kiwis
  • orange juice
  • olive oil
  • plain yoghurt

Mix the kiwis, 3 tablespoons of yoghurt, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of orange juice together in a bowl until they are well blended. Then apply the mask to your face using your hands. Avoid the area around your eyes and mouth. Leave the mask on until it’s dry. Rinse it off with cool water.

2. Honey and Avocado Facial Mask

This mask is perfect for this period of the year. Both honey and avocado will help your skin rehydrate after the dry winter period.

Ingredients:

  • ½ avocado
  • ¼ cup of honey

Mash the avocado and then mix it with honey. Apply the mask to your face and leave it on for about ten minutes. Rinse it off with cool water.

3. Banana Facial Mask

This moisturizing mask is for those days when you feel you need to relax and forget about your troubles for at least 20 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 5 tablespoons of almonds or ground oats
  • some water

Mash the banana and mix it with honey, oats and some water. Mix it well. Apply the mixture to your face and neck and keep it on for 20 minutes. For extra relaxation, close you eyes and put cucumber slices on them. Rest for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.

4. Oatmeal Facial Mask

Spring is the time of year when we all feel like it’s cleansing time. I like to start from my face! Here’s a perfect skin-cleansing facial mask you can make in a few minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon of organic yoghurt
  • some honey

Mix the yoghurt and the oatmeal, then add just a few drops of honey. Leave the mask on your face for 10 minutes, and then rinse it off with lukewarm water and a washcloth.

5. Cinnamon Facial Mask

If you feel your skin is stressed out, this is the perfect mask for you. It smells unbelievably good and it’s really easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • cinnamon
  • honey
  • nutmeg

Mix a teaspoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of nutmeg with two tablespoons of honey. Mix it until you get a thick paste. Apply the mask to your face and let it work its magic for half an hour. Rinse it off with warm water.
