So, you want to eat healthy. That’s a wonderful decision that will greatly improve the quality of your life. You’ve probably heard doctors and dieticians recommend chicken breasts as the best choice for meat if you want a healthier diet. Well, they’re right and here are 3 delicious healthy chicken breast recipes.

1. Grilled Chicken

Of course, the first choice for a healthy chicken breasts recipe is grilled chicken. It’s easy to make, it’s tasty and it’s a healthy meal. You should slice the chicken breasts into thin slices so that they don’t need much cooking. Sprinkle every piece with some salt and some pepper then grill for two minutes on each side and that’s pretty much it.

Be careful not to grill it for too long since chicken breasts are generally dry meat and if you cook them for too long they become really dry and not very tasty. You can serve it with some fresh vegetables or, if you can allow yourself a couple of extra calories, with a delicious dip made from sour cream, lemon juice, fresh basil and thyme.

2. Chinese Chicken

Chinese chicken with vegetables and almonds is a delicious and healthy way of preparing chicken breasts. For this recipe you will need chicken breasts, carrots, cabbage, bamboo sprouts, mushrooms, almonds, soy sauce and some oil for frying.

Cut the meat into small pieces and fry it in the oil for 5-7 minutes. It’s better if you have a non-stick pan that needs only few drops of oil. When the meat is half done, add soy sauce and leave to cook until the liquid evaporates. Take the meat out of the pan, add sliced vegetables and almonds.

Add some soy sauce over vegetables too and cook them for only a minute or two, it needs to stay as fresh as possible. If you’ve used salty soy sauce there is no need for additional salt. Put back the meat and serve with some rice or noodles.

3. Indian Style Chicken

This is another great recipe for delicious chicken breasts. It is similar to Chinese chicken- it consists of chicken meat and vegetables- but it’s still different. You need chicken breasts, leek, carrots, celery, turmeric and brown rice.

Put two tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan and add one tablespoon of turmeric. You should add it first, it will give the full taste when fried. Add leek, the chicken and fry for two minutes. Pour water or chicken soup over and put the rice. Cook until the rice is almost done and then add the rest of the vegetables.

Vegetables should be cooked only for a short time in order to preserve the vitamins in them. Serve hot with fresh salad, you will have a healthy and tasty chicken breast meal.
