1. Upside Down Espresso Cream

You can make this cream as a standalone desert or you can make it as a cream for a cake. In any case, it is absolutely delicious and you must try it.

You need:

  1. 150gr of white chocolate
  2.  2 fresh eggs
  3.  25gr of sugar
  4.  2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar
  5. 2 tea spoons of instant espresso powder
  6. 75ml of whipped cream.

Preparation:

  • Steam melt the chocolate.
  • Separate egg yolks and egg whites.
  • Beat the whites into a firm meringue with sugar, and yolks into a foamy cream with vanilla sugar.
  • Mix the yolks and espresso with melted chocolate and slowly mix everything into the meringue.
  • Add the whipped cream into the mix.

Pour the mass into 4 previously oiled cups and leave to cool for 4 hours in the refrigerator. Place a plate under every cup and turn to take the cream out.

You can serve this cream just like that or you can add some cherries or chocolate chips. In any case, you will enjoy it.

2. Coffee Kisses

These little cookies will take your heart the first time you try them. They are perfect of course with a cup of coffee, or tea. To make them, for crust you will need: 300gr of flour, 240gr of butter, 120gr of ground walnuts and 120gr of powdered sugar. For cream: 250gr of powdered sugar, 100gr of butter, 1 egg yolk, 60gr of ground walnuts, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of rum, 50gr dark chocolate, 50ml of strong black coffee and a jam you like.

To make a crust mix the flour with walnuts, powdered sugar and melted butter and make dough. Leave in the fridge for 30 minutes. For cream put in one bowl butter, sugar, walnuts, cocoa powder and rum and pour coffee over everything. Mix everything together.

It should be thicker, so you can add some ground biscuits if it’s not thick enough. Stretch the dough to be thin with a rolling pin, and take out small cookies with a round mold. Bake them in the oven at 180C until golden brown. Take them out of the oven and when they cool down smear the jam over them.

Make small balls out of coffee mixture and make a dent with a knife in every one so that they look like coffee beans. Coat half of every ball with melted chocolate and put the balls over cookies with jam.

3. Fine Coffee Cake

This is a very delicious coffee cake recipe and a perfect cake for an afternoon with your friends and a talk over a cup of coffee. You’ll need: 130gr of flour, 130gr of sugar, 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar, 125gr of butter, 1 egg and 130gr of almonds for crust. For cream: 150gr of sugar, 4 egg yolks, 1 cup of strong black coffee and 50gr of almonds to decorate.

Mix smooth dough out of flour, sugar, butter, vanilla sugar, ground almonds and 1 egg. Pour the mixture in a greased pan and bake in the oven on 200C until golden brown. Cut into three crusts. For cream steam cook sugar, egg yolks and coffee with nonstop mixing. When it thickens, spread equal amount of cream over every crust and decorate with almonds.

4. Tiramissu

It comes from Italy, it is one of the favorite sweets in the whole world and it is one of the best coffee cakes recipes. It’s tiramisu and here’s the recipe how to make it. You need: 3 egg yolks, 100gr of sugar, 250gr of mascarpone cheese, 2dl strong instant coffee, 1 package of lady fingers.

Mix egg yolks with sugar and mascarpone into a firm cream and add some coffee in it. The amount depends on how much you want the cake to taste like coffee. Put every lady finger into coffee for a second and put them in the mold. Pour the cream over lady fingers and repeat the process until there’s no more cream.

Leave in the fridge to cool for at least 2 hours and then sprinkle heavily with cocoa powder. This is an exclusive, delicious cake and you should make it every time you feel like pampering yourself a little.

5. Cold Mocha Cake

If you’re like me and mocha is your favorite coffee, you will love this mocha cake. To make it you’ll need: 220gr of chocolate cookies, 125gr of butter, 1l of vanilla ice cream, 2 tablespoons of instant coffee mixed with 4 teaspoons of hot water and the cooled, half a cup of milk, half a cup of sugar, 200gr of dark chocolate and 60gr of hazelnuts.

Put the cookies in a plastic bag and beat them with a rolling pin to break them. Mix them with good with butter and press them into a round mold. For cream mix the ice cream with the coffee, pour it over the cookie crust and put in the freezer. Cook together milk, sugar and chocolate on low fire until the chocolate melts.

Add hazelnuts and leave it to cool a little but you still need to be able to pour it. Pour over the cake and leave in the freezer. If you want a cold refreshing desert on a hot summer day, this is a perfect recipe.
