5 Delicious Healthy Dessert Recipes

I don’t know about you, but when I need to lose some weight I find it the most difficult to give up desserts. I have a sweet tooth and I love desserts, so I’ve done some research, included my imagination in the process and came up with these 5 delicious healthy dessert recipes. Check them out.

1. Fruit Salad

Everybody knows that fruit salad is the healthiest deserts there is. The best idea would be to simply cut the fruit and mix it together. Try to avoid high calorie fruit like bananas and you’ll be fine.

However, if you can’t satisfy your cravings for sweet with fruits only, I suggest you make a dressing for your fruit salad. Take some honey and some cinnamon and mix it together. You can add some water or some juice from canned pineapple to make it less thick and then pour that over your fruit.

In case you like yoghurt, you can also take some low fat yoghurt, mix it with some honey and pour it over your fruit salad. Try to avoid adding sugar into your fruit salad, the fruit itself has enough sugar and you really don’t need to add any extra.

Take the fruit you like, avoiding bananas and dried fruit, because of the high calorie count, and make yourself a delicious and healthy desert.

2. Currant Cakes

5. Peach Trifle With Raspberries

Peach trifle is a fruit pleasure you’ll love. It is absolutely delicious and lower in calories than some other desserts you might like. It’s also very healthy, there are only 70 calories in a large peach, and they are a great source of fibers and vitamins A and C.

To make peach trifle, you’ll need:

  • 2 big peaches
  • 2 tablespoon of honey
  • 400gr of sour cream
  • 8 ladyfingers
  • 4 tablespoons of raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon of almond slices

Cut the peaches into cubes. If you don’t like the skin, you can remove it, but you should know that most of the vitamins are in the skin, so it’s better to leave it.

Mix the honey with the sour cream. Wash the raspberries. Take a decorative see-through dessert bowl and put the ladyfingers in the bottom, then put a layer of peaches and over it a layer of sour cream and honey cream. Repeat until you run out of ingredients and decorate with fresh raspberries and almond slices.

When you want a healthy dessert, it’s best to stick with fruit. It’s both healthy and low in calories. Nuts are also very healthy for you, but they are richer in calories, so put just a little of them on your desserts. Try out these recipes we’ve given you and make 5 delicious healthy desserts.
