Why does everyone suddenly love vintage? Probably because it is nothing like what we are usually surrounded with – it is charming and warm, full of emotion and apt to bring up long lost memories. Or at least show the hidden sensibility we didn’t know we had. You should definitely try it in your home – especially if you live in a modern one.
Combo 1
The living room is the best place for vintage elements. Make sure that you emphasize the presence of vintage pieces, either by their size or by color. This will especially work well if you have a black and white room and only one colored piece.
Don’t leave your vintage element hanging alone – pair it with a subtler one – it could be a poster, a sign or a small sculpture.

Combo 2
Vintage pieces are usually quite detailed, so with your bedroom, you should be careful. Bedrooms are supposed to be kept free of anything unnecessary, so your vintage pieces should be in neutral, white, beige or light blue shades.
Choose a corner in your room and make it a vintage spot for you to enjoy before going to bed or after waking up. Match the pillows and cushions on your bed with the vintage pieces.
Have something that will break the simple contemporary/vintage ratio, like, for example, a cow skin carpet, an abstract piece of art or a traditional sculpture.

Combo 3
Your office shouldn’t be packed with vintage pieces because you wouldn’t want to distract anyone. Keep the general design of the office interior clean and geometrical and only enrich it with certain subtle vintage products – a floor lamp or a discrete table clock.
Make sure they match and don’t dominate the space. If you can still sense the imbalance, a contemporary piece of furniture can always bring you the needed harmony.
