DIY: Simple Jewelry Displays

Does your jewelry look like one big ball of chain and charms? Then, take a deep breath and quickly start untangling. Just look around you and I’m sure you won’t have any trouble finding everything you need for making any of these three simple jewelry displays.

Yes, we all know how quickly things can get out of control with jewelry. Tangled necklaces and bracelets, earrings without a pair, lost favorite ring…

And if they are not lost or tangled, they are probably forgotten. I certainly never try to keep a count of my rings, but I sure do keep them in sight, that way I always have something appropriate for the occasion. I don’t have to contemplate what do I have and what not, and where is this or that piece.

So with a little bit of imagination and a little bit of skill, try out these three simple ways to organize your jewelry. You will have everything in one place and in sight, but you will also have a nice decoration for your space.

Not Just a Branch

Find a branch and that’s that. You can pop it in a vase and hang your earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets. But it doesn’t have to end there, the possibilities are almost unlimited.

You can spray paint the branch, with silver or blue, for example. You can tie it with rope and hang it on the wall. You can tie several branches together with wire, you can spray paint them and hang them on the wall. It’s all up to your imagination and you have so much room to play and invent.

Is That Really a Corkboard?

Corkboards are really inexpensive and you might even already have one to spare. You can use it for jewelry display just as it is, but why not go one step further. Try to wrap your corkboard in pretty fabric.

You can choose the color that compliments your room. You can also paint and decorate the frame or just the board. Hang your jewelry and also pin a few interesting pictures or your own photographs and you have an instant wall art for your room and a useful storage space and inspiration board, all in one.

Hang It On

As I said, all you have to do is look around you. Now look around you and find a wooden coat hanger. What you need next is a few small hooks and you’re good to go. Again you can play with painting and decorating the hanger and hooks. You can vary the position of hooks. You can make a few of the hangers and hang them one above the other.

So, if your planning on reorganizing your space soon, find a some coat hangers, corkboards and get some branches and include your jewelry in the process. Doesn’t organizing and displaying your jewelry sound more attractive now? You can pick one of the ideas or try all three.

Keep in mind the saying ‘Out of sight, out of mind’, because applied to your baubles, this is not a good thing. With these 3 simple jewelry displays you will clearly see all the pieces you own, you can organize them however you want, plus everything will always look beautiful.
