Sex myths are definitely the most popular ones. One of them is that you can’t get pregnant if you don’t reach climax of pleasure, that is – an orgasm. Here’s the answer to that question.
There are numerous sex myths. People have always enjoyed mystifying things of their interest, and sex is, of course, among them. Myths: you can’t get pregnant if you’re a virgin; sex during a period is harmful; the moment you sleep with a man is when you lose control over your relationship…
No. You DON’T HAVE TO ORGASM TO GET PREGNANT.
You can get pregnant every time you have unprotected sex – whether you reach an orgasm or not. Of course, it would seem fair that you’re not in danger of getting pregnant if the sex wasn’t good, but, unfortunately, that’s not quite true.
When you’re ovulating, your eggs are ready to be fertilized by sperm. If that happens, you can get pregnant. If not, you will get your period. Orgasms are just sweet pleasures that have nothing to do with pregnancy. You can’t fertilize yourself, but you can have an orgasm without anybody’s company or assistance.
So, you can’t get pregnant from a blowjob, dry humping, kissing… Those are all myths. You can only get pregnant by sexual intercourse that would allow sperm to fertilize your egg, which is realised when you’re ovulating. Everything else is nothing but medieval sex myths.
If you don’t want to get pregnant, you should use contraception – that will stop the fertilization from happening. There are so many ways of contraception to choose from, but the most popular ones are birth control pills and condoms.
If you don’t have a regular sex partner, you should use a condom – it will also protect you from various STD’s, including AIDS and all sorts of viruses and infections. On the other hand, if you’re in a committed relationship, you can use birth control pills. They will help you with PMS and painful periods as well.
If you’re still very young, you should have all the sexual info before having sex. Make sure to visit your gynaecologist – it’s nothing scary or painful. OK, having a stranger look at your vagina is no one’s idea of fun, but it’s nothing to be scared of. At least it’s way better than the dentist’s office.
So – yes, you can get pregnant no matter whether you do or do not have an orgasm. Still, you can’t get the same amount of fun if you don’t orgasm. That’s the whole truth.
Those who can’t do teach – same with me giving you love advice. I like jazz and the theatre, old movies that I watch while drinking wine, but most of all I like love and smiles.
