I absolutely love smoothies. I mean, what’s not to love in fresh fruit mixed with milk or yoghurt. Smoothies are not only tasty, they are also very healthy. Find out about all the benefits they bring.

Ok, lots of girls are mostly interested in effective ways to lose weight. Most of us are struggling with a couple of extra pounds. I don’t know about you, but I’m really sick of all the tasteless food recommended as a healthy diet. That’s why I’m presenting you with top 5 diet smoothies recipes for weight loss.

1. Monster Smoothie

After mixing all the ingredients for this smoothie, you will get something of a green, alien-like color. Don’t let the color fool you, this smoothie is absolutely delicious and super healthy.

You’ll need: 1 banana, 2 kiwis, 2 peaches and half a mango. This smoothie is actually meant to be made with water, but you can add skim milk if you like that better. Just put all the fruit in a blender and add just enough milk or water to make it a drink instead of a paste.

Take this smoothie instead of your regular breakfast. It is pumped with vitamins, so it will give you all the extra energy you’ll need during the day. It is also low in calories, which makes it a perfect smoothie for weight loss.

2. Berries Smoothie

This smoothie is great because you don’t need fresh fruit to make it – it tastes just perfect with frozen fruit. Still, try to get your hands on organic fruit – it is so much better.

To make this smoothie you will need: a handful of frozen strawberries, a handful of frozen blueberries, 1 cup of skim milk or low fat yoghurt and 1 teaspoon of honey. It’s even better to omit the honey, but if the fruit is too sour, go ahead and add it.

Mix everything together in a blender or food processor, add a couple of ice cubes and serve. This smoothie has only around 200 calories which makes it perfect for your diet. Substitute your dessert with this delicious smoothie and expect the pounds to start melting.

3. Add the Veggies

Smoothies don’t need to be made out of fruit only. You can also add some vegetables in the mix. They are packed with good vitamins and minerals and won’t change the taste of your fruit smoothie at all.

Choose a fruit smoothie of your preference and add a handful of fresh spinach, a cucumber or a couple of carrots to it. You won’t even taste the veggies, but you will get all the benefits from them.

You’ll need: 1 banana, 1 cup of skim milk, 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of instant coffee and some honey. Slice the banana and mix it together with all the other ingredients in a blender. If you like it colder, add a couple of ice cubes. Voila – a fast and delicious light breakfast and coffee all in one and in a matter of minutes.

5. Mango Delight

This particular diet smoothie recipe for weight loss is said to be perfect for all ladies who desire a flat stomach. The fibers will boost your metabolism and the ingredients in the smoothie will make you feel like you’ve had a good normal meal.

Combine half a mango and half a ripe avocado with 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 cup of mango juice and some lime juice. Add some ice cubes and mix your perfectly delicious low calorie smoothie.
