10 Thoughts Every College Student Can Relate To

College is a time when people can learn about themselves and figure out what they want from life, but it’s also a place where people question themselves every moment.

If you have been to college, there is a good chance that you have thought about whether or not it was even worth it, or if you could even make it to graduation.

Here are some thoughts every college student has had at some point of their college experience.

1. “My homework may not be done, but I am.”

It seems like the homework in college is neverending. Before I even finish half of it for one class, I’m ready for a 6-hour nap.

Classes become overwhelming so quickly and easily that it feels like our brains are fried before we even get a chance to make it to the next break.

2. “How did I survive being in high school all day when I can’t even handle a class longer than an hour?”

I still don’t understand how any of us handled sitting in class all day, five days a week, throughout school. It seems legitimately impossible to do something like that now.

Even in a 50-minute class, we are all counting down the minutes until we can get up and leave. How are we ever going to be able to handle a real job?

3. “I’ll just get up early tomorrow and finish it.”

This is the biggest lie anyone will tell. We all know you’re going to get up maybe 5 minutes before class starts and run there in your pajamas. Don’t kid yourself.

4. “I can wear this outfit again. No one in my MWF classes will know.”

We are all outfit-repeaters. You can’t say that you’ve never done this before. We all have our days where we just don’t want to put in any effort.

Those days are usually set aside for the days we go to class in what we went to bed in. Outfit-repeating days at least require a tad more effort than just not changing at all. Good for you. You got dressed today!

5. “Wait, did I have homework?”

We all know those Sunday nights far too well. There has been a point where you have either been in bed almost asleep or just woken up to the realization that you forgot to do something for a class—or several classes.

This moment is the mini-heart attack we all have when we realize that we forgot that we have actual responsibilities after a weekend of partying or doing absolutely nothing besides eating and watching Netflix.

6. “I’m dropping out of school to be a stripper.”

College is hard, and it can be annoying. Stripping, however, could be fun. And I could get paid for it unlike paying thousands and thousands of dollars for an education I don’t even want.

I could make a ton of money stripping and not have to deal with student loans. Why don’t more people think of this?

7. “Vodka mixes well with everything.”

TRUTH. Add soda, lemonade, other alcohol…anything. Vodka will mix well with it. It’s the easiest, and cheapest, way to get trashed at the pre-game.

It’s also scary how well you can hide the taste of vodka with almost anything. Oh well. Have a fun night!

8. “I wish I were a golden retriever in an upper white class family.”

Nothing sounds more tempting than this. You would be pampered for your entire life, and not have to do anything besides doggy-yoga or something like that.

It’d be so nice to be a dog in a rich family. Why didn’t we all get to be that lucky?

9. “How much money could I make if I stayed in bed for the rest of my life?”

This is the ultimate heaven: staying in bed all day and just watching Netflix, ever having to get up and worry about being a real adult. What could be better than that?

10. “What a beautiful day not to be in high school.”

Sitting in bed, after waking up at 11 AM for an 11:30 AM class, is one of the best feelings in the world. It’s amazing that we used to be able to get up at 6 AM every morning to get to school and stay there for eight hours a day.

None of us would be able to handle something like that now. Nope. No thank you.

College is one of the best times of your life. It’s a place where you learn more about yourself, and you meet people who will be your friends for life.

There is never going to be another time in life when you can go out on a Thursday night and still manage to go to your 10 AM class. The real adult world is going to suck.
