What’s the first thing that crosses your mind when someone mentions Boston? And no, I don’t want you to invoke history lessons and remember the Boston Tea Party. I want you to close your eyes and let the smells of the food you could eat in Boston come along. Do you already taste the amazing seafood on your tongue?

Boston is, as the rest of the New England, most famous for seafood and dairy products. But these are far from being the only things you could eat in Boston. The Atlantic Fish restaurant is all you imagine a Boston restaurant would be. Serving the best fresh, seafood since 1978, this restaurant has been the favorite for locals and tourists, alike for many years.

The restaurant is located in 761 Boylston Street, and it’s open from 11:30am to 11:00pm and to 12:00am on Fridays and Saturdays. You absolutely have to try the award-winning New England clam chowder and Maine lobster pot pie. The restaurant offers meals for big parties, as well as private dining rooms. 2. 75 Chestnut, Beacon Hill

Located in the address it got its name from, 75 Chestnut Street, and serving American food for prices ranging from $7 to $25, 75 Chestnut restaurant is a place you must not miss. Pop up for a drink, or a bite to eat, meet some friends and have a great time.

The restaurant serves amazing American food, but it is most famous for its signature desserts. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but most of its customers agree that it is worth every penny. The romantic atmosphere and nice waiters will make your experience here even better. This is one of those little hidden restaurants you usually hear about from the locals. It is located in 2255 Dorchester Avenue, the prices are very reasonable and the portions quite big. If you’re looking for some southern soul food, this is a place to eat in Boston.

Mrs. Jones serves simple, but delicious food. People come here for things like fried chicken, pork ribs, sausages, mac ‘n cheese, barbeque and candied yams. However, bear in mind that restaurant doesn’t accept credit cards, so you’ll need to have cash with you. They also don’t serve alcohol.

5. Volle Nolle, North End

If you don’t have time to sit down and spend an hour, or more, on your lunch, check out the Volle Nolle sandwich bar. Here you’ll find some of the best sandwiches you’ve ever tasted.

Volle Nolle is located in 351 Hanover St. The prices are really good (the priciest are the smoked salmon sandwiches which are $11), and the food is amazing. Make sure you try the grilled chicken sandwich, it is simply delicious. If you’re in the mood for some dessert, order a couple of chocolate chip cookies. They melt in your mouth, and leave you with a taste so good that you wouldn’t want to brush your teeth afterwards.
