1. London, England

When Prince William and Kate Middleton announced that they were getting married in April 2011, loads of newly wedded couples hurled to London. It became a place of romance and passion and a perfect city to visit for your honeymoon.

But what’s so great about London? Well, it’s the capital of a Kingdom for starters and yes, it is an absolutely beautiful city. All royalty aside, you’ll have a wonderful time in London. Go see the Buckingham’s Palace, the famous Big Ben and the London Eye. Only in London can you try the original English tea at 5 o’clock and an original English muffin with the tea. Enjoy London!

2. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

For those of you with a bigger budget, there is no doubt where to go for your honeymoon. The island of Bora Bora in French Polynesia is the place for you.

It was voted one of the most beautiful places on Earth and it is a favorite honeymoon destination among many couples. It is quite expensive, but every dime you spend on this island will be worth spending. Everything you do on this island is a once in a lifetime adventure. Even the simplest things, like dining out and walking along the beach are a unique experience, because the island itself is magnificent.

However, try some other things that could be done only in Bora Bora, like feeding the sharks and manta rays.

3. Alaska, USA

The unique country, famous for having more moose and bears than people, can be a fun honeymoon destination. Visit the 49th state – Alaska!

Go see the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, and enjoy seeing wild untamed nature and fantastic animals. You will love Alaska, because there is no other place in the world similar to it.

Don’t miss a chance to see Mt. McKinley, locally known as Denali, meaning “the high one,” which is the tallest mountain from base to top in the world (Mt. Everest is 29,029ft high, but its base is way up on the Tibetan Plateau at 17,000 feet – its base-to-summit height is around 12,000 feet. Mt. McKinley’s base is at 2,00ft while the top is at 20,320ft giving this mountain base-to-summit height of more than 18,000ft).

4. Hawaii, USA

Hawaiian island is something like a classic for honeymoon trip. A lot of couples choose one of the islands every year and they all have a wonderful time.

Don’t miss to see the volcanoes if you have a chance. Swim in crystal clear waters and enjoy the sandy beaches. If you’re into surfing, there are only a couple of places better than Hawaii.

Hawaii Islands are truly a unique place on the planet. It’s most famous for beautiful beaches and with a good reason. Over 100 beaches from Hawaii made the list of the top beaches in the world. Some of those include Waikoloa Beach, Lumaha’i Beach, Po’ipu Beach, and Salt Pond Beach Park. Hawaii is also the home of the tallest mountain from the ocean floor to the peak – Mauna Kea with 33,476ft and the most active volcano in the world – Kilauea. However, the volcano itself doesn’t present any danger because its eruptions are not violent and only consist of lava constantly flowing from the volcano.

Don’t miss to try the coffee and vanilla creams or ice cream, because Hawaii is the only U.S. state growing coffee and vanilla. Speaking about unique things – Hawaii is the only place in the U.S. where residential establishment for royalty is found — the Iolani Palace. Don’t miss to see it, and while you’re there, visit the nearby Foster Botanical Garden – the oldest man made garden in Hawaii, built in 1855.

5. St. Petersburg, Russia

It is another royal city, the place of immense beauty, the Venice of the North – St. Petersburg, Russia. It is a place you have to see at least once in your life, so why not for your honeymoon?

Visit the Winter Palace and the State Hermitage Museum, which is to this day the biggest art museum in the world. Enjoy Russian food and culture and the stunning view of the city. The best time to visit is in the midsummer, because of the white nights when sun almost never sets.

Sicily nurtures a movement of slow food cooking, which brings you all the flavors at their best. You’ll find the best olive oil in the world in Sicily and of course, delicious food prepared with it. The whole island is amazingly beautiful, so wherever you choose to go, you will have a wonderful time.

There is not a lot to say about a tropical island in the Indian Ocean, except that you should really get a chance to see this one before the ocean floods it completely. Choose Seychelles for your honeymoon destination.

Of course that Paris will be on the list of top 10 honeymoon destinations. How could it not be? It has been the city of love and romance and the favorite couples’ destination for years.

Take a walk along the Champs Elysees, go see the magnificent Eiffel Tower and enjoy romance all around you. Spice it all up with some delicious French wine and fine dining.

It is voted to be the most romantic city in the world, so you can’t miss with choosing Paris for your honeymoon. Plus, it is the fashion center of Europe and which girl would not like to be in a city with that kind of title.

9. Prague, Czech Republic

Czech Republic has come a long way since the time it was a part of communist Czechoslovakia and its capital, Prague, has been voted one of the most romantic cities in the world.

See the famous Prague Castle and take a walk through the Old Town. Join a cruise down Vltava River that runs through the city or have a dinner in one of many restaurants at its bank. Enjoy the fairytale city – it is all you’ve thought it would be.

This city has everything for a person who loves mountains could wish for – some of the best ski slopes and winter sport centers in the world, beautiful Alpine huts to stay in, and wonderful warm people.

Innsbruck is beautiful whole year round, you just need to choose your time to visit according to what you like better – snow and skiing in the winter, or hiking and enjoying the nature in the summer.
