Viva Las Vegas: What To Do In Vegas Besides Gambling

Drinking, gambling, clubbing, must be Vegas. There is so much more to see and do in Vegas than what most people assume.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, isn’t that right, ladies? We’ve all heard this, which implies that the only thing to do in Vegas is partying, clubbing, drinking and occasionally shopping. Yes, these are all things to do in Sin City, but there is so much more.

Vegas is exceptional and everything is always magical, extravagant and awesome. However, some things are better than others in various hotels and places. Here are four more reasons to experience Fabulous Las Vegas!

Mouth watering food

Who doesn’t love food? I know I do, and Vegas happens to have amazing food places. There are the delectable restaurants, such as The House of Blues in Mandalay Bay, The Cheesecake Factory in Caesar’s Palace, P.F Chang’s in Planet Hollywood and Buddy V’s Restaurant in the Venetian, and then there’s the amazing chain of Gordon Ramsay restaurants from steakhouses and pubs to burger restaurants.

Whether it’s a chain or one of a kind restaurant, good food is good food, and these places either provide a great view of The Strip or are set in beautiful settings of their own.

The hotel buffets are always a great choice especially the buffets in the Wynn, Bellagio, Aria, Paris and Mirage. All I can say is YUM! These buffets and restaurants offer something you can only get in Vegas: great ambiance, and a wide range of delicious foods.

Let’s not forget the fabulous desserts, the chocolate fountain store in Bellagio, the cake stores in every hotel and the desserts in every buffet and restaurant. Those are to die for!

Extravagant hotels

The beauty of Vegas is also in the fact that you can get a sense of various international locations in one place. You can experience Rome, Venice, Paris, New York and Egypt all within a day.

Each hotel is unique and provides a full travel experience in line with its theme. For example, Caesars Palace smells like Eucalyptus while the Bellagio has olive trees, the Mandalay Bay has palm trees, the Mirage has a zoo and penguins and flamingoes are part of the Flamingo’s charm.

Each hotel also offers an unique performance such as the nightly pirate ship show in front of the Treasure Island hotel and the exploding volcano at the Mirage.

The hotels go all out with their décor and attractions to ensure that they are not only unique, but stand out among the crowd. This can be as simple as an indoor garden like that of the Bellagio or a city theme—complete with a rollercoaster—like that found at New York New York.

The Luxor has a pyramid, Mandalay Bay has the Shark Reef and The Venetian has beautiful blue canals throughout complete with a gondola. There is so much to see and do in every single hotel. Even the pools are phenomenal, Mandalay Bay has a manmade beach and MGM has a great lazy river.

Shopping

Vegas has some great places for shopping. Every hotel has stores that are unique and have great clothes, shoes, makeup and sometimes merchandise you can only get then and there.

Some hotels, like Caesars Palace, actually have built-in malls with some shops that you don’t see everywhere, such as Peter Lik art galleries or memorabilia stores.

Then, there are the typical stores that we see in everyday malls and the high end designer brands everywhere. There are also the outlet malls, which you have to take a taxi to, but the outdoor shopping mall is well worth it.

Personally, I hate shopping, and there is so much more to do in Vegas, but I cannot deny that the shopping there can be great due to the wide variety of awesome finds there are to see in various stores—just don’t spend all your time shopping.

Outdoor adventures

Vegas is typically always hot or at least warm—after all, it’s in the middle of a desert. However, this is a perk that most people don’t take advantage of, as you can take various trips to Red Rock Canyon, The Grand Canyon and other such places to hike and explore the desert.

This is a great chance to immerse yourself in nature, see wildlife and get exercise that isn’t just walking from one end of The Strip to the other (unless you take the trams).

Vegas is a place that has something for everyone, and is extravagant, beautiful, hot and crazy. Anything can happen and you will definitely come back with a story: even if it’s a story some random stranger told you in the hotel elevator, it’ll be an interesting story.

There so much to see, do and experience and, no matter which hotel you stay at, you can explore the various hotels with their incredible themes.

Yes, there’re the clubs and drinking, but there’s also other activities and shows to see. If you have any wild stories or fun things to share about your adventures in Sin City feel, free to share!
