Although 2016 hasn’t even ended yet, there have been some big hair color trends started by celebrities that thousands of women are following. However, these hair color trends are not the ones that are opal, cotton candy colored, coral or rainbow.
Instead, these are the classics that are not as flashy and out there, but still extremely gorgeous and will make you look ready for the red carpet, just like the celebrities who are donning these trending hair colors.
Margot Robbie is really rocking the golden brown color lately. She has her hair done in a way that is completely natural looking due to the golden blonde shade with the champagne shimmer throughout. The base of her hair color is her natural color, which she still lets show as it adds dimension. The lowlights also add to this look.
Warm brown black
Kerry Washington has her hair done perfectly not only to match her skin tone but also to accentuate her natural hair color. When doing darker colors, it is important to go with shades that look like what you were born with, but where there is also a distinguishable difference. The brown tones in her natural dark black hair add dimension and shine and suit her look perfectly, while also looking natural.
Isla Fisher rocks this look, which also seems to match some of her best outfits and her fiery personality. Her hair definitely has a fiery red quality, but it is still believable thanks to all the lighter strands placed strategically throughout her hair.
Rich dark chestnut brown
Priyanka Chopra is rocking this color, which is typically an unusual mix for people with dark hair, but it is quickly becoming a big trend. She’s a brunette who’s put a lot of brass in her hair, and it looks great. She has dark chestnut brown hair with hints of a red/auburn color, which is vibrant and matches her skin tone exceptionally well.
Multidimensional creamy blonde
Saoirse Ronan has done this perfectly considering it does take some strategizing on how to make sure it does not look stripy. She has ribbons of cream colored blonde, which provides contrast to the rest of her blonde hair. This look is perfect for fine and blonde hair as it adds dimension and contrast—just make sure the cream colored blonde streaks are thin so that they look natural.
Rihanna looks great with a soft black color in her hair, which, as simple as this may sound, can be tricky. Most blacks are too black or black-blue, which makes them look fake. However, a soft black isn’t inky or fake looking; it looks natural and sexy.
Jessica Chastain’s naturally light blonde is mixed with a fiery red, which pops and adds zest to it. However, many people are changing to this color as it looks fresh, fun and beautiful.
Natural light brown with sun-kissed highlights
Alicia Vikander has naturally light brown hair that complements her highlights, which are a warm blonde. The highlights can either be done right from the root down or like hers, which is at the bottom portion of her hair. Either way is gorgeous and adds movement and a young look to your hair.
Karlie Kloss is not a classic bleached blonde or even a classic blonde. In fact, her hair color looks like she doesn’t even try to be blonde. Instead, she has a light brown base with natural looking caramel highlights that are placed strategically to look natural. They aren’t stripy, in fact, they are gorgeous all over and add to this color beautifully.
Deep dark brown
Adriana Lima has dark brown hair which looks amazing with her skin tone. If you want this hair color, you have to be careful not to cross the fine line between deep dark brown hair and blue-black coloring. In addition, lightening the color around the outline of your face adds even more depth to this trending color.
This is a gorgeous rich color that is rocked by Julianne Moore and never goes out of style or out of season. This color does require a lot of upkeep, but this deep red is so beautiful that it is worth the work.
It seems that this year and the past few years have been a breakthrough when it comes to the world of trending hair colors and this year is still young. There are many other celebrities who have varying hair colors and tones, such as Jennifer Lawrence’s icy blonde, Kate Hudson’s own golden brown, Emma Watson’s ombre, Gwen Stefani’s dip dye on her platinum blonde hair and Jennifer Lopez’s Bronde.
These colors that are trending are not only great for the summer but will also look great in the fall and winter. If you can think of any other trending hair colors that celebrities are rocking, feel free to share!
