You don’t like dyeing your hair but you want to change your hairstyle? Keep on reading and check out unique hairstyles that you can try and spice up your style.

There are times when we don’t want to dye or cut our hair. Not only does it take it take time and money, but it damages the hair. A haircut is less expensive but sometimes we don’t want to have shorter hair. And don’t tell me you haven’t wished to be a celebrity in order to resolve hair issues.

To be honest, I have since I’m lazy with my hair. I don’t know about you, but I love when others do or brush my hair. It’s like being in heaven.

But, let’s go back to reality. If you are tired of dyeing your hair, or you are trying to grow your hair or want to try something new, then keep reading for ideas to change your hair. Remember: when it comes to hair, you just need to be creative but be cautious too.

1. Glow in the dark

With this trend, your hair will glow in the dark after using a hair dye, but you will have fun fantasy-colored hair during the day.

The trend is also known as black light hair because when you stand under a black light, the hair illuminates in the dark. The dye has actually been on the market for years, but it’s only becoming popular now.

Buy Manic Panic’s High Voltage Classic Cream Formula SW Color. If you want a less permanent option, I recommend Splat’s In the Dark, Iglow’s Temporary Glow in the Dark Hair Gel or The Glow Company’s UV Hair Color Rinse.

If you don’t like fantasy hair colors, you can also get more natural colors, such as “Raven” black and “Virgin Snow” blonde although the unique ones will certainly you the center of attention.

2. Tapestry

Some people don’t like this trend because it takes too long to achieve. I think it is very unique, artistic and perfect for bohemians. To achieve it, the process is easier said than done.

You will need an old hair extension weft, scissors, tapestry loom, thread and a wool needle to create colorful intricate patterns in a strand of hair. In other words, the thread is woven through a block of hair using the tapestry loom and the wool needle. If you are doing it for a friend, you don’t need the extension.

If you need a step-by-step tutorial or want some examples, you can find some inspiration online and even online tutorials such as Dirty Looks’s step-by-step instruction. To remove it, you need to unravel it.

3. Glitter roots

With this trend, be prepared to make a mess. If you don’t want glitter all over you, I recommend putting a shirt or towel over your shoulders before you start.

To apply it, mix some hair gel with some glitter of your choice, and use a brush to apply it at the roots. Or, you can apply the gel at the roots first and then the glitter. Voilà! To remove it, blot your roots with a paper towel doused in hairspray.

The best thing about this style is that not only you will look like a diva, but you can also cover your grown roots with it. If you want to see how it looks, search for the celebrity who has made this style famous: Miley Cyrus.

4. Tattoos

This style is gorgeous but I’m not talking about the tattoos you do with your hair; I’m talking about the tattoos you can stick to your hair.

Don’t be alarmed: they are temporary like the ones you can apply to your skin. You can find them in Walgreens, Walmart, Target or other fashion stores. The designs are in gold and silver.

To apply, just hold the tattoo design against your hair, put some water on it and peel off the paper. To remove, just wash your hair.

Also, it tends to show up better on straight hair because the image doesn’t look distorted. Kylie Jenner made this trend famous, so look for pictures of her for ideas of images and what the tattoos will look like once applied.

5. Food, things or animals

Yes, you can put food, things or animals in your hair. These options came from crazy hair day’s pictures. But, please, be sure you have a big amount of hair to hold things or food. As for animals, I think dead animals are safest—like the starfish hair pins you find online.

Remember: the key is to be original and flexible with your hair. I will definitely try one or two styles or invent another one. Share this with your friends, so they can be creative, too. Do you know another trend or hairstyle? Are you going to try one of these?
