I’ve heard my share of pick-up lines. Some of them, I’ll admit, have made me a little nauseous while others have made me laugh. There have been one or two that actually worked. The trick isn’t just what lines to say, it’s also how you say them. Make sure when you try these fifteen funny and flirty pick-up lines you also look great and add charisma.
#1 “So, Want to Share a Cab Back to Your Place?”
This line is an outright invitation for sex. Not only are you cutely presuming the person you’re flirting with is going to accept your offer, you’re also making it clear you’re okay with their place not just yours. It’s fun and flirty but be prepared for your cutie to say “yes!”
#2 “Did it Hurt When You Fell from Heaven?”
“…Because you must be an angel.” This is one of the most classic pick-up lines ever invented. I love how it doesn’t portray them as a sex symbol but instead lets you pick someone up making them feel beautiful and innocent. It’s cute and flirty.
#3 “Is That a Mirror in your Pocket?”
“…Because I can see myself in your pants!” I love this line it’s one of the funniest pick-up lines out there, and if you use it then you will know right away if your object of affection has a good sense of humor.
#4 “Was Your Dad an Artist?”
“…Because you’re a masterpiece!” This pick-up line is flirty and can be used in a couple of different ways. You can use it if you’re hitting on an elegant potential at a classy art gallery opening, or you can use it if you’re hitting on someone after you’ve had a few drinks. It’s really all in the swagger.
#5 “My Lips Are Cold…”
“…Why don’t you press yours against mine and warm them up?” Definitely a funny pick-up line (and not likely to work, but certainly likely to pick up a guy or girl with a good sense of humor) this one should be reserved for those moments you feel invincible.
#6 “So, How Do You Like Your Eggs?”
”…Nevermind I’ll find out in the morning.” Add a little wink to the end of this flirty pick-up line and see where it gets you. It’s suggestive without being overly sexual and that makes it both funny and flirty.
#7 “With You in My Bed I don’t need any blankets.”
This flirty pick up line is even further accentuated with one raised eyebrow and a sexy look. No hidden agendas here this one is openly honest about where you want to go next.
#8 “Step Away from the Bar You’re melting all the ice!”
This funny pick-up line is best said in a light-hearted joking kind of tone. This one’s too fun to be taken seriously, and it should be followed up with a second pick-up line that switches you into suave mode.
#9 “If You Were an Apple You’d be a delicious.”
This pick-up line is both flirty and funny. I heard a version of this on the movie 17 Again and actually laughed out loud. I would love for a guy to say this line to me. It might actually work.
#10 “Did they Kick You out of Church?”
…”Because you are walking sin!” If you want to really tell someone how hot they are, then this is the pick-up line for you! It’s also one of my personal favorites. Not only can it easily be pulled off by a man or woman but it can be done in a “Damn girl!” sort of show-off way or a sultry and sexy style. Go with the mood of the room.
#11 “I’m a Palm Reader…”
“… and I can see me in your future.” This is definitely a funny pick-up line because if you actually get the person to hand their palm over to you, then you must make this a sillier sort of pick-up. Alternately you can use a pen to write your name and number on their pam and then say, “I’m also a palm writer.” Either way, it’s funny and flirty.
#12 ”Is That a Rocket in Your Pants?”
“…Or are you just happy to see me?” This is definitely one of the oldest pick-up lines in the book, but it automatically does two things: First it gives off the initial sex appeal, and second, it boosts a guy’s ego (I mean who doesn’t want to hear that it’s a rocket and not a pencil?).
#13 “I Lost My Number…Can I have yours?”
This one is a funny and flirty pick-up line that can easily get a giggle out of someone if you pull it off with just enough comedy to be cute, but not too much as to be obnoxious.
#14 “I Can See the Future…”
“… And you and I are together.” This is more of a flirty than a funny pick-up line so you’ll want to make sure to use your flirty voice for this one. A wink never hurts, either.
#15 “You’re So Hot… I bet you’re the reason for global warming!”
This is definitely a funny pick-up line and can be adjusted in a number of different ways; “You’d melt a glacier”, “Greenpeace must be protesting you.”, “You make the sun jealous.” Use your imagination and have fun with this one. It’s definitely a flirty pick-up line that could easily be adjusted to a funny pick-up line depending on the person you want to pick up.
Aside from these lines, one of the best pick-up lines I have ever heard was simply “You’re beautiful, I mean, wow, you’re really beautiful!” I should have given that guy my number. So what’s the best/worst pick-up line you’ve ever heard (or the best/worst one you’ve ever said)?
