There’s no doubt that summer music festivals have an entire fashion of their own. In order to help you not show up in the wrong gear, here are the styles that are trending on and off the stage this summer.
Flower Crowns
Flower crowns are the staple of music festival fashion. Easily handmade, or found in most boutiques, this accessory will always be the perfect addition to your festival attire.
Because music festivals take place outdoors, a flower crown is something that separates festival fashion from the normal concert scene. It’s an affordable way to take your outfit to the next level. Sunnies
When it comes to festival shades, go big or go home. Large round lenses are taking over the world of stylish sun protection. Another trending shade style is the large brow-line frame in many colors and finishes. Some top picks for these styles can be found at Forever 21.
Jewelry
Gold is the new black in the jewelry section of this style guide. Long gold necklaces with multiple chains, statement necklaces with large gold accent pieces and other bright colors are all must-haves for your festival-filled summer.
Oversized rings on multiple fingers and hand pieces that double as bracelets are also fun ways to express your style while jamming out in the crowd. And for those barefooted beauties, decorative gold foot chains are on the rise to keep you sparkling from head to toe.
Fringe
For whatever reason, any clothing piece adorned with any amount of fringe screams summer tunes and sunshine. There’s something about the clothing style that makes one feel free and flowing, just like music festivals do. It can also instantly take any outfit from zero to a hundred.
Anything from a fringed bag to a fringed vest or booties will take your festival entourage to the next level, and will also be perfect for dancing in circles to your favorite band.
Crop Tops
We all know crop tops are a summer must-have in general, but they make putting together an outfit for a music festival so much easier. You can’t go wrong with having a few basic, solid crop tops in your closet to throw on with a fringed vest and high-waisted shorts.

The word may induce cringing at first, but whether we like it or not, overalls are making a comeback. Although you may be scarred for life by the photos of 3-year-old you rocking Oshkosh, thankfully, all trends are re-invented a little differently each time.
Overalls are an easy way to make a statement with an outfit, without having an exhausting number of pieces. They can definitely be styled in a grown-up way when paired with the right undershirt and without pigtails.
Acid Wash
Another trend that is revisiting from the beloved ‘90s is acid wash denim. Something about it brings out everyone’s inner edginess, and says that they’re ready for a good time. Paired perfectly with any band tee, acid washed high-waisted shorts are the way to go.
If you’re looking for even more of a rocker vibe, depending on your music festival of choice, shorts with frayed ends keep the ‘90s trend even more alive and keeps the look more on the edgy side.

Cotton or satin shorts printed with fun patterns and colors are the epitome of comfort meeting style. Although music festivals are one of the most amazing musical experiences one can have, they can get exhausting and uncomfortable after hours of standing in the hot sun.
