Tips on How to Lose Love Handles

Love handles is a very romantic name for those little rolls of fat gathered on the sides of your stomach and waist, which tend to pop out of jeans, skirts and bathing suits. These unaesthetic fat deposits are very annoying and hard to remove, but with a small amount of will power and constancy you can achieve great results.

If you follow a correct diet, exercise every day and regularly massage your waist and hip area, you will finally stop asking yourself how to lose love handles and you will finally be able to wear those tight pants again! Turn Your Love Handles into Muscles

When combined with a proper and fat burning diet, exercising is the most efficient way to burn fat, build lean muscle and get rid of love handles. If you are tenacious and consistent enough and you do the following exercises every day, you will soon see your fat rolls melt away and your muscles tone up.

  1. Oblique Crunches – Lie down on the floor with your right hand behind your head, your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor, shoulder width apart. Put you left hand on your stomach to feel you muscles working and place your left foot over your right knee. Use your abdominal muscles to raise your upper body off the floor, then twist your torso to the right, taking your right shoulder towards your left knee. Contract left obliques while doing it, then release. Do 2-3 sets of 20 repetitions on each side.
  2. Lateral Crunches – Lie down on your left side with your right leg resting directly on top of your left leg. Extend your left arm straight out in front of you, bend your right elbow and place your right hand behind your head. Slowly lift your legs, raising them perpendicular with the floor, and at the same lift your upper body off the floor, towards the legs. Feel the waist muscles on your right side contract as you lift, then release.  Do 2 sets of 20 repetitions on each side.
  3. Dumbbell Side Bends – Stand straight with feet shoulder-width apart, with a dumbbell in each hand and your arms loose at your sides. Bend at your waist toward the left side, dropping the left shoulder downward and stretching the oblique muscles on the opposite side. Hold for two seconds, then lift back to center and repeat on the other side. Work up to 3 sets of 20 repetitions. 

Massage Away Love Handles With Black Pepper Essential Oil

Massage your love handles to break down the fatty tissues deposited around your waist! Pinch your hips and your waistline, then press your fingers and make little circular movements. To enhance microcirculation even more, use essential oils such as black pepper, grapefruit, oregano, lemon and cypress. Black pepper is very efficient in stimulating the circulatory system, which has a fundamental role in melting away fat deposits. Mix together 15 drops of black pepper essential oil, 10 drops of lemon oil, 10 drops of cypress, 5 drops of grapefruit and 5 drops of oregano in 100 ml of jojoba carrier oil and shake well. Apply twice a day and massage energetically into the skin, using small circular strokes.

Eat Properly and Lose Love Handles

Avoid strong alcoholic drinks, fried and fat meals, carbonated beverages and all those foods that cause bloating and the buildup of toxins in your body tissues. Privilege good fats foods, such as cold water fish (salmon, mackerel, herrings) extra virgin olive oil and nuts. Reduce the consumption of carbohydrates and increase the amounts of fruits and green vegetables.

Take advantage of thermogenic (fat burning) foods like chillies, eggs, citrus fruits, spinach, artichoke, lentils, poultry and others. To process them, your body will burn more calories that these foods actually contain.

And beware of cheese, seasonings, sauces and processed meat products such as sausages, salami, patés and burgers. They will make you gain weigh!

Drink as much water as you can.
