This trick saves so much space in your suitcase. You’ll be surprised at how much more you can fit this way. You can even lay three or four items of clothing flat and roll them together to maximize space. It’s a faster way to pack clothing, and also flattens them out and prevents wrinkling.

2. Cover your footwear with shower caps

Keep dirty shoes from ruining your clothes buy putting them in a shower cap. It keeps everything in your suitcase clean and fresh and the smell from your shoes won’t transfer onto your clothes!

You can easily get shower caps cheap from drug stores or free from most hotels. So, if you forget before you go, you can easily pick one up on your trip.

3. Put socks and products inside your shoes

When trying to save space in a suitcase, every little bit counts so try and find small places to hide things like inside your shoes. Place things like socks, non-spillable products and underwear inside your shoes. The thickness of the shoes will also protect the items that are placed in there.

4. Put plastic wrap under the lid of shower products

Stop your shower products from spilling in your bag by putting a bit of plastic wrap under the lid. If the lid does come off the plastic wrap is still there to stop it from spilling.

5. Put your perfume bottles and delicate products in socks

If you’re worried about products breaking, put them inside socks to keep them protected. This will also prevent scratching on the bottles.

6. Pack your heaviest items closest to the wheels

This hack makes sense if you are going to be dragging your suitcase around a lot to your accommodation, or if you are going to different places on your trip. Putting the heavier items near the wheels will make it easier to wheel around and allows the weight to be distributed evenly.

7. Use a sunglasses case to store your loose wires/chargers

There’s nothing more annoying than having wires and chargers all over the place and tangled up. Putting them in a sunglasses case will keep them all in one place, neatly organized.

It’s easy to get to, and you will avoid messy tangles. You can use a sunglasses case to store jewellery and other small items, too.

8. Stack your bras

Doing this helps to maximize space as well as keep bras in their natural shape. You can also put underwear or socks inside the bra cups to maximize space and make sure your underwear isn’t out in the open!

9. Put cotton pads inside powder makeup products

Movement inside the suitcase can cause powder makeup products to crack. Put a cotton pad or ball inside your compact to prevent it from breaking. This hack protects the mirror as well.

10. Store extra cash in old beauty product containers

Make sure you don’t throw away your bottles when they are finished. Things like old moisturizer bottles, sunblock bottles and chapstick containers are perfect for storing extra cash. No one would even think to put cash in there, so it’s a subtle way to keep money safe, and only you know where it is.

These simple yet effective hacks for packing can make your travel so much easier and stress free. Everything being organized and in it’s own compartment makes it easily accessible, which is what you need when you’re traveling.
