5 Vacation Package Checklists

When you plan to travel somewhere there are certain things you should always bring with you. Don’t be one of those people that always tend to forget something. Start making package checklists. Here are the items that absolutely have to be on those lists. Check them out!

1. General Vacation Package Checklist

No matter where you are travelling, there are some things you absolutely have to bring along. We called this list general vacation package checklist and here’s what you have to write down in it.

First of course comes enough clothes and shoes. The amount depends on where you are going and how long you are staying, but make sure you have enough underwear. Right after clothes comes personal hygiene items such as toothbrush, toothpaste and soap. If you are staying at a hotel they probably have those along with shampoos and shower gels, but I always bring them, just in case.

Don’t forget your mobile phone charger (and other chargers you’ll need) and a couple of clean towels if you don’t like using hotel towels. Plus, don’t forget a comb (a lot of people usually forget it) and some probiotics if you tend to suffer from stomach problems. Kleenexes and wet wipes are a must.

These are the main things that need to be on every vacation package list. All other depend on where you are going, how much you’re staying, how’s the weather going to be, but don’t worry, we have additional lists for you.

2. Lake Vacation Package Checklist

Are you going on a weekend in a lake house and you’ve already packed the things from the general checklist? Here is some other stuff you need to bring with you.

A mosquito repellent is the first one – don’t ever go to a lake house without a mosquito repellent. Of course you can leave it at home if it’s freezing cold outside, but bear in mind that mosquitos need only one warmer day and that they can be seen even in December and January.

Furthermore, if the lake is isolated make sure to bring more food, either prepared, or if you can cook something in the house make sure you bring all the ingredients. If you don’t visit the house often, you maybe want to bring a bug spray with you. Make sure to bring a sunscreen, no matter the season, and when going during the summer bring your swimming suit.

3. Mountain Vacation Package Checklist

One of the best things you could do for a great vacation is to travel to the mountains. You also need to think about the additional things you need to carry. Always carry warmer clothes when going to a mountain. Even if it’s in the middle of a hot summer, nights on a mountain could be quite cold. Always carry sunscreen if you don’t want sunburns.

If you’re going skiing of course bring your skiing equipment and extra clothes because you’ll probably get wet in the snow. Not skiing? Make sure to have tracking shoes with you, because they are much better for walking than regular shoes. If you are prone to allergies bring some allergy medication and it would be a good idea to bring a book, or some other form of entertainment. Weather in the mountains could be very tricky and you don’t want to be stuck in a hotel room with nothing to do.

4. Spa Vacation Checklist

You are going to relax and enjoy in a spa. This means you don’t need to bring a lot of things with you. Of course, the things from general checklist are mandatory and you could also bring an iPod, or mp3 player or anything else you can play music on and some soothing music. After a whole day of relaxation, it would be great to just sit in your room and listen to nice relaxing music. If you’re not a big music fan, book will also be great.

Also, some allergy medicine in case you think you might get a reaction from some of the products. Bring a bathing suit and your own towel for the sauna. Make sure to leave all your troubles at home and to bring only good feelings and emotions.

5. Big City Vacation Package Checklist

Are you a big city tour person? Are you planning to visit a big city soon? You want to have a great time but you don’t want to forget anything important? Here are the things you need to have.

Bring your camera, because you will want to take pictures, and enough money for all the expenses and some souvenirs. If you’re originally not from a big city, bear in mind that probably everything in the big city is more expensive than in your hometown. It’s a good idea to have some sort of hip or neck bag where you can keep your money and documents safely; you don’t want mugging to spoil your vacation.

Some sort of travel guide of the city is mandatory. You could either get it on paper or download it from the internet for your smartphone. And of course a map, you don’t want to get lost. If you are going to a foreign country, a dictionary of basic phrases, such as “I’m lost” and “Do you speak English?” will be very helpful. Bring some trendy clothes for going out in the evening.

Wherever you decide to go, there are always things you need to have with you. It is also a good idea to get as much information about the place you will be visiting as possible, especially if you are travelling abroad. Get familiar with the customs of the country and learn a couple of phrases in the local language, and you will make your vacation better. For everything else you need to bring, we’ve given you the vacation package checklists. Now you only need to pack up and start your trip.
