Those last years, I grew as an artist and most of all as a human through experiences and Life. I try to share with my followers in the most honest and generous way, about my personal journey as about the things and people inspiring me every day. I take care as much as possible of every posts (pictures, words used) and I make sure to answer every private messages and most of the comments.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Pole Dancing offers an incredible panel of styles like many disciplines. People discover an art and sport mixing agility, strength, grace, emotions…and much more depending the style. Everyone is welcome. Joining Poledancing is also discovering a very supportive and amazing community. Just go for it.
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
I found in Pole dancing a way to express myself, to move and most of all a community. I think I met some of the most amazing people,Im constantly amazed about the powerful spirit of community.
When people ask me why I dance, it is like they would ask me why do I breathe. Because I feel Alive. I love to move on all different kinds of music. Even in silent, you can create sound through movement and breathing.
Here is the link of my latest performance song. It is a mantra from Deva Premal.
My piece is a meditation. At the end of the song I invited all the artists to join me for the last mudra (hands gesture during meditation). It was a magical moment.

2. Holly Munson – Pole Freaks
You in 7 descriptive words?
Poler, Strong, Fun, Independent, Puppy-loving, Explorer, Happy.
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
I really focus on making PoleFreaks honest and inspiring. No one wants to hear that you nailed every move without breaking a sweat, as it’s probably just not true (or helpful). I love being able to tell polers that it’s okay to take a break from pole, or that certain moves are really hard, as no matter what, we all really do love pole and it helps us stay strong and get through so much in our everyday lives.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
My tips for pole dancing beginners would be to go along to a class – find one near you that you like the look of and try the basics. It took me a year to build up the confidence to go into a class – I wish I would have just gone in when I first knew that I wanted to try pole. It can be nerve wracking, especially as we all don’t live in shorts but all beginners are in the same boat. The greatest friends I have, I made through pole – you’ll never look back :D
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
I love building up strength and muscle that I never thought I’d have. You really do feel invincible when you are flying around the pole. I’ve achieved so many moves and combos that I really never thought were possible. Pole is something I do just for me and I love it.
I love dancing around in my bedroom (alone!) to music I can move my hips to like Jason Derulo – Get Ugly.
In our routine classes or for competitions and shows I love to dance to music that is a bit faster, rockier or just has more attitude, like Nickelback – Next Contestant.

Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Own what you do – the pole, the stage, your decisions, life. There are so many different ways to approach pole dance and none of them are wrong. So stay true to yourself and what you enjoy. You will develop an unique style all your own!
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
The community is the best thing about pole dance, especially the CRNP community. Everyone is so supportive of each other, cheering one another on. They are the best motivational tool out there! Oh and heels are awesome too!
Favorite pole dance music is anything metal, 80s, or something you would roll around on the hood of a car to.
4. Jada Hudson – Curvy Girls Pole
You in 7 descriptive words?
Lover, Energetic, Happy, Curvy, Blogger, Poler and Fierce
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
Prior to Curvy Girls Pole, there was no other blog platform (to my knowledge, at least) that highlighted and celebrated curvy pole dancers and because we have a different and oftentimes longer pole journey, it was important for us to be able to see people who look like us advancing in pole dance. Curvy Girls Pole has turned into something so much greater than I ever could have imagined – it’s now a space where curvy polers from all over the world go to feel supported, empowered and confident about their love for pole dance.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
My recommendation to anyone looking into starting pole dance, is to get out of your own head and just do it! You are SEXY enough, the pole will SUPPORT your weight, you will DEVELOP the upper body strength, you are SUPPORTED and YOU GOT THIS! Just know that everyone in a beginner class is just as nervous as you, so have fun with it!
Oh! No lotion 12 hours before a pole class (you’ll get really comfy, really fast with being really ashy), you’ll want to wear shorts, not leggings and be ready to learn your body in an awesome new way, gain killer confidence, sweat like never before and have a blast!
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
The best thing about pole dancing for me is the community! I’ve never been surrounded by more people who unconditionally support each other like this. It’s amazing and life changing. I’ve also learned to love and appreciate my body in a totally different way.
It’s an insane feeling to go from having no strength to being able to support over 200 pounds of body weight in a matter of a couple of months. You also learn to trust yourself entirely because you’re depending on your muscles, strength, core, and every other part of your body to pull through for you when executing a move.
I am a lover of all music when it comes to pole! Rap music, trap music, rock, r&b, pop, country – you name it! My favorite type of pole music if I had to choose though, would be r&b. I love poling to slow and sensual music. For example, I performed to Beyonce’s Partition at the 2016 International Pole Convention.
5. Michelle Shimmy

I am passionate, a little crazy, obsessed with pole, an animal lover, flexible, strong and BADASS!
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
My blog is very personal and I write about my crazy life as a pole dancer – so it’s different and a lot of fun!
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Don’t be afraid! Just find a studio and sign up for classes. A lot of people get intimidated by what they see pole dancers doing – don’t be. You don’t need to be strong or flexible to start, and you’ll absolutely love it.
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
The best thing about pole dancing is the way it makes you feel – like a strong, sexy, confident, flying goddess. My favourite music to dance to is slow and sensual – maybe something like Two Weeks by FKA Twigs. Hottest song ever!
6. MiaWear

Genuine, enthusiastic, cheerful, dedicated, detail-lovers, communicative, polers-oriented.
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
Our blog is actually part of our pole dance-clothing website and focuses more on a healthy lifestyle that suits active girls and especially pole dancers, rather than on techniques and tricks.
We believe in working with people, for people and our blog aims to be you friend’s voice: honest, never pretentious, we help if we can. Also, everything is drenched in Italian style!
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Do start with a teacher. There’s no need to find the best school or studio, just look for a place that makes you feel welcome and, most important, safe. Pole dancing turns you into Wonder Woman, but be careful while you get there.
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
The pole dancing world is made of friends, helpful hands, mutual advice and support, which make you go through all the challenges that it poses.
I like to pole to intense, powerful music. One of my favourite tracks is Sober by Pink, good for beginners as much as for advanced dancers.
7. Lori Myers – Confessions of a Twirly Girl
You in 7 descriptive words?
Thoughtful, adventurous, ambitious, passionate, silly, joyful and (excuse me if this sounds crass) AMAZEBALLS!
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
My blog was the first plus-sized pole dance blog when I started writing back in 2010. It has morphed into a place where I can talk about any real-life issues that I face, not only as a pole dancer, but as an aging human and advocate for body acceptance. I also cosplay as a plus-sized superhero, so I write about my adventures with Chunky Girl Comics as well.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Although there are many great online schools and videos, I really feel like any brand new pole dancer should attend classes. I know it can be difficult for my plus-sized friends who feel self-conscious, but it is so helpful to not only receive guidance from an instructor, but also encouragement from your fellow classmates.
I can still remember my classmates cheering me on as I slowly dragged myself to the top of the pole during my first climb. It was so exhilarating. It is important to find the right class that supports you and helps you flourish. I also encourage people not to focus on the moves they can’t do, and work hard to perfect the moves they can do.
Find the style of dance that makes you happy. Do you love to be slow and sexy? Do you want to be flowy and beautiful? Or, do you want to be more athletic and have less dance? Only you can answer those questions, and you should try different classes to figure out which instructors and types of dance work best for you and your body. Be okay feeling silly. Some of these dance moves will feel weird to your body (you want me to rub my hands all over my body in front of strangers?!), but I promise if you continue with it, one day, you’ll find the right moves for you!
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
I credit pole dancing with helping me find the confidence to put myself out on the internet with all of my skin showing. I find myself critiquing my body less and appreciating it for what it does for me. Pole has brought me amazing opportunities, taken me on some really fun adventures, and introduced me to a lot of cool people.
Although I love to dance to all kinds of music, I’m kind of a down and dirty rock girl. My favorite song right now is kind of a dark one. It is Bath Salts by Highly Suspect.
8.Cathy Vandewater – The Spin Diaries
You in 7 descriptive words?
Persistent, sarcastic, hopeful, happy, excitable, curious, driven.
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
It’s unapologetic. I think a lot of people feel really intimidated by the pole scene, and they can identify with someone who’s just out there doing it, making mistakes, laughing through it, and not hiding the struggle.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Don’t try to teach yourself if you’re just starting out. Pole is fun, but it can give you lots of “feelings”–some good, bad, some painful, but totally safe. It can be hard to tell the difference between the three, so I recommend having a lesson with a qualified instructor to make sure your placement and technique are right. Groupon and Living Social are a great, cheap way to give pole a shot in a safe environment. It’s how I got started! But don’t blame me if you get addicted ;)
PS. To prep for your first class, wear a tank and fitted shorts, skip the body lotion, and keep an open mind. Pole rewards those who are willing to look a little foolish and put themselves out there!
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
Not only am I in the best shape of my life, but I have the healthiest relationship with diet and exercise I’ve ever had (and I used to be a varsity swimmer). Instead of measuring my work in calories burned and clothing sizes, I now measure my efforts in the gym by what my body can do in the air. It’s hugely liberating, and makes working out a much happier experience.
I hold planks longer and do more pull-ups to be able to get into new tricks–that’s the motivation. The feeling of satisfaction you get when your body finally CAN get up and over into your first chopper… it’s such a wonderful, powerful feeling.
Music-wise, I love songs that sets a definitive mood, or that have lots of changes in emotional arc. That makes for fun choreography! The Weeknd (“The Way You Are”) and Jessie Ware (“Taking In Water”) are a couple of my favorites artists.

Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Find a reputable studio/gym or instructor to take classes from. Leave your expectations and inhibitions at the door, and pretend you are in an adult playground. Have fun – no one looks stupid when they are having fun! :)
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
The best thing about pole dancing is how it makes me feel – inside and out! I am in the best shape of my life and I feel confident and empowered. It is an amazing stress relief and a fun way to express myself. My favorite pole dancing music varies depending on my mood and can range from “don’t judge me” to “THIS SONG WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!”
Currently, my favorite song to freestyle to at the moment is:

Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Find your local studios and sign up for a class! Shop around as different studios have different styles and you might find one that better suits who you are.
The great thing about pole is there are moves for everyone. I have had students as young as 18 and as old as 68 and all shapes and sizes.
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
The best thing about pole dancing is the freedom is gives you. Freedom to choose a healthy way to get strong. You get a great workout while having fun. It doesn’t feel hectic like a gym can. You get freedom from shame about your body. Because pole teaches you that every body is beautiful and everyone can find moves that work for them.
As far as music goes, my music tastes change and different polers all have their go to song. For me right now it’s the Low Life by Furure feat. The Weeknd. You can get it on iTunes HERE.

Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Take it slow! It isn’t the sexiest of advice, but when you start pole it is really easy to get swept up in it and go a bit crazy with it all, but that is how burnout and injuries happen. Pace yourself and don’t compare yourself to others, in the long run you will be healthier for it and have a better understanding of your body.
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
It is an amazing outlet for self-expression! More than any other dance style, pole dance welcomes all backgrounds and bodies so it allows everyone to participate and make pole their own. I love to dance to music that is moody, dark, and definitely sexy!

I have watched so many women change their entire lives after gaining self confidence and support via pole dance classes. Free yourself from the illusion of rules upon you!
YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
The best thing about pole dancing is the self confidence, body acceptance and nurturing support that is created in a quality class. Favorite music: anything by The Weeknd and contemporary blues.

Playful, Passionate, Feisty, Wholehearted, Joyful, Curious, Intelligent.
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
At its heart, PoleDancingProfessor.com and my Bad Kitty Pole Blog articles inspire women to listen to the call of their wild soul and reconnect with deep joy and play. I share stories of how pole (and beach bliss) dancing have transformed my life to encourage women to tap into their sensuality and discover the treasures buried in their hips. I’m obsessed with music, so there are many playlists for unleashing inner sirens too!
3. Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers who would like to start practicing and learn pole dancing?
Focus on the “dance” in pole dancing rather than just learning tricks by allowing the pole to be your partner. Give yourself permission to play and experiment in free dance with what you’re learning in class (or from books, DVDs, etc.) to a favorite song, after warming up. This will enable even scaredy cats (like I once was) to develop trust in the pole (and yourself) and have fun, particularly if you close your eyes, go slow and focus on the pleasure of how it feels to luxuriate in the stretch and movement.
4. YouQueen’s Question: By your opinion what is the best thing about pole dancing and what would be your favorite pole dance music?
Three-way tie of Sensuality, Bliss and Sisterhood. Pole dancing awakens our senses, launching us into a world of technicolor. Pole dancing teaches how to live a more blissful life, connecting us to our inner magic which mirrors that of nature. Pole dancing surrounds us with a supportive sisterhood.
My pole dance music includes hundreds of playlists; picking favorites is always a challenge! I’m celebrating my eleventh year of pole dancing this month so I created a special Desert Island Pole Dance Playlist on Spotify of the seventy-seven songs I’d want with me if I were stranded on an island.
