Depending on where you are in the world, you’re either preparing for summer or you’re fully immersed in it already. Regardless, it’s never too late to get into a fun workout routine to get your booty where it needs to be.

Despite what the magazines or tabloids may tell you, there is no one-size-fits-all kind of booty for summer. We were all made in a unique kind of way, representing bums of all shapes, shades and sizes.

The truth is, confidence comes from deep within, showcasing to the world how you feel about yourself. You don’t have to have the perfect body, or booty in this particular instance, to feel confident in a one-piece, bikini, tankini or whatever tickles your fancy. However, the best way to find the perfect bum is by looking at your own and trying the following 10 ways to improve what’s already there.

So go on, try these, and flaunt your natural beauty in your favorite bathing suit.

1. Go on a hike

Being outdoors not only boosts your overall mood, but gives you an extremely good workout at minimal cost—if any. So, find your closest hiking spot, put on your sneakers, remember to pack some water and enjoy a few hours outdoors taking in nature while toning your booty.

2. Try a few squats

It may be a dreaded thing to hear, but squats really do work. They’re awful when you’re in the moment, but they’re not as bad a burpees. Not only do squats tone your upper legs, but they contract your glutes to form a toned, defined booty any woman can be feel proud of.

3. Practice your dancing skills

Why not incorporate fun into your workout by taking part in some form of dance class. 7. Walk your dog

This activity gives you the opportunity to spend time with your pooch, while your dog has the opportunity to sniff out new smells. It’s a great way to get a brisk walk in, remembering to squeeze tight all the way, toning the important parts as you enjoy quality ‘bonding time’.

8. Jog on the beach

Choosing sand as your workout platform is daring but very ambitious. It’s not the easiest thing to jog on, often making you feel like a quitter. However, the rewards you’ll reap from jogging on the beach, toning your legs and your bum, are priceless compared to the agony of being in the moment.

9. Wear heels

Once you’ve implemented the correct arch support, start your workout routine simply by looking beautiful. Heels have a way of making your legs look longer, giving you better posture and naturally squeezing your bum and toning your calves. Looking stylish has never been this beneficial.

10. Find an appropriate bathing suit

Regardless of how many workouts you attempt in a month, or how much you tone your bum, your booty will naturally become a better version of itself in the right bathing suit. This doesn’t mean that every bathing suit style will suit your particular body shape. Try on a few different styles, and determine which one brings out the best of you. Who knows: you may look better in a one-piece than a bikini.

Remember, at the end of the day, your booty is your own. You can feel confident regardless of its size if you accept it for what it is. However, I find that it helps putting a little bit of effort and hard work into toning my glutes in order to boost my confidence in my booty. It’s never too late to start—even if summer is already in full swing in your part of the world.
