3 Delicious Homemade Desserts

If you have a sweet tooth these will definitely make you drool. Check out the recipes for some easy to make desserts that are delicious enough to be served in the finest restaurants.

1. Chocolate Heaven Cake

To start off, here’s something for all the chocoholics such as myself. We love our chocolate, don’t we? Well, you’re gonna love this delicious cake!

Here’s what you’ll need (for 12 servings):

  • 1 package of cake mix
  • 1 package of instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of warm water
  • 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips

And here’s what you do:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cake and pudding mixes, sour cream, oil, beaten eggs and water. Stir in the chocolate chips and pour batter into a well-greased 12 cup Bundt pan.
  3. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until the top is springy to the touch. You can try and insert a wooden toothpick – if it comes out clean you’re good.
  4. Cool the cake in pan at least for an hour and a half before inverting onto a plate.
  5. If desired dust the cake with powdered sugar.

*Hot Tip:

If you’d like a ‘healthier’ version cut the calories by using a fat free pudding mix, fat free sour cream and only egg whites. It’ll taste just as great, be very moist and chocolaty but you’ll lose as much as 200kcal/piece. Normally, each serving is around 600kcal.

2. Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Next, we have a super easy recipe for a delicious cheesecake, and you know how though it can be to get a cheesecake right. Well, not this one!

Here’s what you’ll need (for 8 servings):

  • 2 packages of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 prepared graham cracker crust
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of ground cloves
  • 1 pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup of frozen whipped topping, thawed

And here’s what you do:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Blend in eggs one at a time. Remove 1 cup of batter and spread into the bottom of the crust; set aside.
  3. Add pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg to the remaining batter and stir gently until well blended. Carefully spread over the batter in the crust.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
  5. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.
  6. Cover with whipped topping before serving.

*Hot Tip:

If you don’t have all the spices needed, and want to shorten the preparation of this beautiful dessert, then instead of the pumpkin pure you can use the store bought pumpkin pie filling. It already has all the spices in it and the cheesecake will taste just as good.
