I don’t know about you, but whenever I travel, I am most worried about the hygiene of the place I’ll be staying at. I really don’t want to come back home with a urinary infection from a dirty toilet or an allergic reaction because the bed sheets were not very clean. That is why I’m not going on another trip without these amazing products.
1. Hand Sanitizer or Antibacterial Wet Wipes
One or both of these products have always been on my travel list. Honestly, I would not advise any girl to leave her house without having some kind of hand sanitizer in her purse.
There are really a lot of different types to choose from. You can get simple wet wipes, they are the most common product and almost every girl has a pack in her purse. Some brand of antibacterial wet wipes is an even better choice. The other option is a hand sanitizer. Now, they have both advantages and disadvantages. Hand sanitizer does kill bacteria, but sometimes it just smears the dirt on your hands around. This is why I always have both – wet wipes and a sanitizer. Apply the hand sanitizer first and then remove the excess with the wet wipe. Voila – clean hands in a blink.
2. Soap Sheets
Soap sheets may easily be the best travel product for women. They are your best friends if you’re travelling with your children and want their hands to be clean.
Soap sheets are basically paper thin sheets of soap packed in a palm sized box, so that they can fit into any pocket or purse. They are biodegradable and each one is meant for a single use. All you need to do is wet your hands and take one soap sheet. The sheet will dissolve in water and create foam like any other regular soap, and you’ll be able to wash your hands easily. It’s perfect, right?
This is a must have travel product, because you can never know when if you’ll end up in a toilet that doesn’t have soap. Clean hands are safe hands after all.
3. Detergent Sheets
Very similar to soap sheets and very handy when you need to wash your clothes while you’re away from home, detergent sheets are just what you were looking for!
Thin sheets of detergent are packed in a box that weighs less than one ounce and there is enough detergent in it for 50 washes. Take them out with dry hands and dissolve in water. They are perfect when you need some clean underwear that can easily be washed in a hotel sink. The detergent is eco friendly but strong enough to wash out any stains.
4. Go Girl Funnel
This product is not really what its name implies; at least it wasn’t to me when I first saw it. Still, it is more than just useful.
You know how every time you’re somewhere outdoors or you’re travelling, you envy the guys because they can pee standing up. I mean seriously, they do not need to find a big bush to hide behind or think about stinging nettles, poison ivy or dirty toilets. They simply stand behind a tree or at a urinal and do their business. Well, guess what? Now you can do it too.
Go Girl Funnel is a soft medical silicone funnel that will allow you to pee standing up. It is discreet and can fit easily in your purse, it’s washable and reusable. As long as it’s not too weird for you, I’d say that this is a must have travel product for women.
5. Toothettes
No one likes teeth that haven’t been brushed, but when you’re travelling, you’re not always able to brush your teeth. This is where this fabulous travel product comes to the rescue.
Toothettes are basically disposable toothbrushes, but even better. You don’t need any water or toothpaste. The toothpaste substance is already in the soft foamy head of a toothette and your saliva is just enough to trigger it. Wash your teeth in your car and have a fresh breath again.
6. You Go Girl
This is yet another product with an encouraging name that has nothing to do with its use. You Go Girl is a product you should have if you’re shy of public bathrooms.
You Go Girl is “the before you go toilet conditioner.” The only thing you need to do is to pour the content of the bag into the toilet and it will immediately create foam that absorbs all the unwanted smells as well as sounds and splash. It will also fill the room with a fresh scent, but bear in mind that this is not a disinfectant, it does not make the toilet safe to use.
7. Badger Sleep Balm
And to end this list with another product that you maybe never thought you’ll need, but it doesn’t hurt to try. I present you the badger sleep balm.
You know how sometimes you just can’t sleep while you’re travelling no matter how tired you are? This is where badger sleep balm rises to the occasion. It is made with essential oils of bergamot, ginger, rosemary and lavender and organic extra-virgin olive oil. Just rub a small amount of the balm on your pulse points or your chin and let the soothing smell lead you towards the dreamland.
All fabulous travel products for women on this list are, in my opinion, something you absolutely must have when you’re travelling. They could be found, along with many more other great products, on this link, the prices are quite reasonable, so don’t hesitate to get them.
No 4 was bizzare :)
