I try to come up with designs that make people wonder how it can be hand painted onto nails; I love seeing people’s reactions but I also put so much love and effort into my designs.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
Never give up, push your boundaries and try new things you didn’t think you could possibly do. I’ve made many mistakes and still do but if you don’t try, you’ll never know just what you’re capable of, sometimes you just have to go for it. Practice makes perfect, as they say.
YouQueen’s Question: What would be one of your favorite/most creative nail designs
I actually don’t know which ones are best, haha. I will let you decide which you think is best fitting.

I think a lot of readers follow my blog and social media accounts because of the hundreds of nail art posts and tutorials and the wide range of different nail art techniques I use.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
I get constantly asked what do to grow beautiful and healthy nails and my answer is almost always: “Use cuticle oil with jojoba oil several times a day”. If you have brittle, dry, easily breaking nails, good cuticle oil is what you need!
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
There’s too many choose from but one of my favourite manicures has always been my watercolor poppies.
There’s a video tutorial for this nail art on my YouTube channel ;)

You in 7 descriptive words (or more)?
Creative, perfectionist, helpful, organised, friendly, passionate and caring.
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
I think there’s a few things that make my blog unique. There’s a good variety of nail art on my blog including swatches of gel polish, indie polish and regular polish; a wide range of nail art techniques and press sample reviews.
I also respond to all my comments if someone has asked me a question as I value each and everyone of my readers. My writing style is very relaxed so it’s an easy read, not too technical.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
I guess an exclusive tip for me would have something to do with Stamping, as it is my favorite form of nail art! Do not prime your stamper with a nail file or buffer.
This can seriously damage some stampers. You must only use a Magic eraser to buff them if you have issues with the stamper not picking up the image. Sometimes a gentle wash with washing up liquid will do the trick so try that first
YouQueen’s Question: What would be one of your favorite/most creative nail designs?
One of my favorite designs that I have done are my Walking Dead nails. I love the program and an indie stamping company called Uber Chic Beauty made a stamping plate called Zombie Love – so I just had to have it! I love the mani I created with it and got a lot of nice comments on it.

I’m also obsessed with Chanel.

5. Jacki Gentry – Adventures in Acetone
You in 7 descriptive words?
I am creative, caring, introverted, silly, organized, attentive, and sweet.
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
Adventures In Acetone is a nail art blog with built-in swatches and reviews. I try to combine both worlds of those googling for swatches of new polish collections before they go shopping and those of us who want to wear nail art instead of just solid polish colors.
I also try to show a range of nail art techniques from simple stamping or dotting to intricate freehand work–that way there is a little something for everyone, no matter the level of nail art you are at. I have over 40 step by step tutorials on my blog as well, which can really show how easy it is when it’s just one layer at a time.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
Look for nail art inspiration around you. You don’t have to invent your own nail art design! I pull a lot of designs from my clothing, tv and movies, stationary, and even gift bags!
If I am out shopping, I find myself snapping quick pictures of gift bags, throw blankets, notebook covers, pillows, etc. Then, I have a picture to look at while I am sitting at my nail desk and I try to recreate the design with polish or acrylic craft paint onto my nails. It also makes for a fun added bit of my post when I can show the inspiration picture.
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
Oh goodness, Adventures In Acetone turns 5 next month so this is a really difficult thing to narrow down for me. One of my more recent favorites was my Inside Out mani! I recreated the emotion characters from the Inside Out movie. The character faces were just too cute, I had to try them for nail art.

6. Tiffany Huddleston – Polish and Paws
You in 7 descriptive words?
Creative, Honest, Committed, Caring, Passionate, Detailed, Spirited
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
I do honest, fair reviews of a large variety of polish; from affordable mainstream nail polish to high quality boutique and indie brands.
All reviews contain detailed high quality images to accurately portray the polish. Readers can also find step-by-step tutorials for simple and advanced nail art techniques.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
Despite the popular belief that nail polish damages nails, bare nails are more prone to damage. To help keep your nails long and healthy keep them polished, the polish acts as a protective barrier to water and other damaging effects. Always keep your nails moisturized with a jojoba based cuticle oil.
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
Reversed stamping is my favorite nail art technique
7. Mari Lumme – Mari’s Nail Polish Blog
You in 7 descriptive words?
My name is Mari and I’m a nail polish / nail art blogger.
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?

Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
They say that beauty comes within. I try to stick to a balanced diet with plenty of vitamins and minerals (especially calcium), and to drink a lot of pure water. I believe healthy food nurtures my nails from the inside.
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
These days I prefer elegant and casual nail designs that are wearable in everyday life. One of my favourite nail styles is negative space, especially if it’s done in white or black.
8. Annabel Lee- Follow That Way
Be happy with your work. If you’re not happy, you’re not doing it right.
You in 7 descriptive words?
Motivated, encouraging, adaptable, critical, detailed, tv-show-binger, wine-lover.
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
I love drawing florals on my nails, especially delicate and intricate roses. I also enjoy creating short video tutorials that are (hopefully) comprehensive to viewers, inspiring them to try a complex floral design that they never thought they could accomplish.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
For fine tip nail art brushes, it’s all about the angles and pressure. To create thin lines, use the tip of the brush and apply less pressure. Using acrylic paint to draw intricate details is way more convenient and effective as well!
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
This chic modern floral created with just one brush and all nail polishes!
9. Chelsea King
You in 7 descriptive words?
Creative, patient, diligent, ambitious, passionate, resourceful, kind!
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
What makes my work different is that I love finding inspiration for my nail designs all over the place – one of my favorite things to get inspired by is fashion. I love adding a lot of details to my nail art, so that is something that makes me unique!
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
When doing nails it is really important to moisturize! A lot of times friends or clients will ask me how to keep their polish on longer, and moisturizing before painting your nails as well as adding cuticle oil daily makes a big difference. Not only does it keep polish from chipping, but it makes your nails look like a professional did them!
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
One of my favorite nail designs I’ve done recently is a mix and match nail art design. Each nail had a different design and it was so much fun to paint! I got a lot of compliments on it.

You in 7 descriptive words?
Clumsy, artistic, patient, creative, hyper, goofy and fun!
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
I tape and teach at my place of business. I teach while I am painting to give the viewer a sense of being with my clients and I so they can get a feel for if this career is for them.
I tell my viewers that it is okay when it is not perfect, in fact, it is better because it is YOURS and I allow myself mistakes on camera so they can learn problem solving while on a time limit.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
I am realizing that the more people I come in contact with, the more confidence I get in who I am. When you work all of the time you become lost in your own world.
Coming out, I felt very scared I would not be good enough. I just recently realized my bubble is full of wisdom and kindness….it IS good enough and I relax in knowing I was and AM exactly where I am supposed to be and I don’t have time to waste on not feeling good enough.
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
I would have to say that my most creative nail designs have not been filmed yet. I continue to push myself into doing my designs better and better with easier techniques and instructions. Here are some of my favorites pictures and I’ll let you choose :D
I very much appreciate finding those who want to learn….It means the world to me and I give this for free. It is because I did not have but ONE mentor.
One person can change a life and my mentor gave me career full of laughter and I hope I can do the same for those out there with no real path they feel good about. Yes, it is hard work— but I would not change it one bit or have it any other way.
11. Natasha Lee
You in 7 descriptive words?
Happy, honest, generous, sarcastic, loving, optimistic & hard-working.
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
I believe what makes my blog stand out is that I’m a qualified Beauty Therapist, Grand Master Nail Technician and in honesty, being 36 I’m on the older side of most Nail, Lifestyle and Beauty Bloggers out there!
The reviews I produce about products are totally honest and unbiased, and my nail art tutorials are broken down into simplified/easy to follow steps so each tutorial is like a 1-2-1 lesson with me so even absolute nail art beginners can follow them.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
Never underestimate the power of Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising and never go to bed with your makeup on. I used to suffer mild acne and now my skin is clear since I started CTM every night. Also moisturise the skin around your nails with a high quality cuticle oil at least nightly, it can transform the look and health of your fingers and nails in just a few weeks.
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
This is a difficult one as I’ve done so many that I love but I guess the one that quite literally changed my life is my water marbling design video. It’s just surpassed 8.5 million views on YouTube and it’s still growing! It’s opened so many doors for me and enabled me to sell my salon and follow my dreams.
12. Juli Gaines – Jaunty Juli

What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
My goal is to bring ART back into nail art. To go beyond just dots and lines. To really let yourself and personal style shine through your nails. I aim to make tutorials that are different and unique but not too hard for novice nail enthusiasts.
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
Never pick off you nail polish- it damages your nail plate and leaving it dry and flaky! Invest in a cheap clean up brush to clean up nail polish around your nail. Always always take your time. Painting your nails can be a very meditative experience. So devote plenty of time to it!
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
Either my donut nails, which is an older design. Those took quite a bit of time but I was so happy with the outcome (at the time.) I always look back at the design and pat myself on the back for my patience and color palette choice! Or my rose nails- were I broke down step-by-step how to achieve a detailed rose.
13. Sammy Tremlin – The Nailasaurus
You in 7 descriptive words?
Cheerful, patient, perfectionist, creative, inventive and obsessed!
What is that “special touch” what makes your blog/work different/unique/authentic?
I love to discover innovative, easy ways of doing new styles of nail art. My gradient nail art tutorial made gradient nails easy for a lot of people who were struggling to get the right effect before.
I also get a lot of comments about my attention to the little details – sometimes a mani that looks really simple can take me hours to complete just to make sure I get every little thing right!
Exclusive tip, how to or recommendation for YouQueen readers?
Find yourself a base coat and a top coat that work for you and use them with every single manicure! My favourite base coat EVER is OPI Nail Envy and there are a few fast-drying top coats that I prefer like Glisten & Glow HK Girl and Seche Vite.
YouQueen’s Question: What would be your favorite or most creative nail design you made it?
I love anything with studs on it!
You are incredibly clever! I can’t afford new magnetic polishes at the moment, this will let me get the look. Thanks
Great post. This is really good. Thanks for sharing this information. Keep sharing.
