Hey girls! Working out regularly can be tough. It’s not easy to motivate yourself. There’s always something “more important to do” that you just “can’t postpone.” Yeah right. Who are you kidding?
Stop lying to yourself and stop making dumb excuses. You need to be truthful to yourself, because nobody else will. Stop asking your girlfriends (or even worse, your boyfriend) whether you’re fat or not. If you have to ask, you probably are. Or you have some serious insecurity issues.
As I mentioned before, I KNOW it’s not easy to motivate yourself, and it IS very, very easy, as you may know, to make excuses. Let me put things into the right perspective for you, so that you never miss a work out again.
1. Looks Are Important
Yes, looks are important. Period. Guys are visual. Very, very visual. Your personality may be great, you may be charming, funny, and all that other “cool” stuff – but at the end of the day, most guys are just… cavemen. No matter how hard we try to hide it. If you’re not going to look great for him, some other girl will. I’m not telling you this to scare you (okay, maybe I am), but still, be warned.
Of course, it’s not all about looks – you may be a supermodel, but if you piss me off with some crap and you behave like some brainless diva, you are fired. It’s over. But still, if you look good – you can get away with more, way more, and with some guys – you can walk all over them if you want to. Why not have such a power? Life is easier for good looking people. They get paid more, they get promoted more often, and they can often get away with being… well, not so intelligent.
2. You’ll Feel Way Better in Your Own Skin
When you work out regularly, you’ll feel tight, strong and healthy. Naturally, you’ll be more self-confident. You’ll radiate with a powerful energy that speaks, without you having to say a single word. This energy draws people into your life, it makes you more attractive, sexy, and successful in every way you can imagine.
When you work out regularly you develop a certain rhythm, you get to know yourself better, you expand your limits. You feel like anything is possible. You learn to love yourself and your life. That’s the power of working out regularly. And if you never did work out, then this feeling is hard to imagine – try it for yourself. Work out for a month every day and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
3. You’ll Have More Options
I don’t know whether you’re taken or single.
If you’ve got a guy – he’ll want you more than ever. When you are toned, tight and sexy for him he will want you all the time. He’ll appreciate your effort and you’ll see a great ROI in the bedroom. It’s easier to make him cooperate with your wishes, and even demands. When you give more, you have an argument to ask for more too. Give and you’ll get back.
You might have a problem though; if you get too hot you’ll have a hard time getting him off of yourself.
In case you don’t have a boyfriend, you’ll have way more options once you start working out regularly. You won’t just meet hot studs (and IQ 50 gorillas-on-steroids) in the gym, but you’ll also have MORE but BETTER options in general.
Hot girls get approached by a) drunk guys, b) really, really drunk guys, or c) cool guys that have the confidence to come up to you.
You probably know that good looking girls get approached less because they SCARE AWAY the majority of not-so-confident guys. And a guy with confidence is confident for a REASON (e.g. he knows who he is, what he wants and he’s not afraid to go for it – You!). He probably has something that backs up his self-confidence. So he’s not some loser. This means that, when you work out regularly, you’ll look better and you’ll have the ability to choose from a bigger pool of guys – then pick your Mr. Right yourself instead of waiting for him to fall from the sky.
4. You’ll Be More Relaxed and Confident
When you don’t work out, your body gets weaker; you have less control over your muscles and your body. You just don’t feel 100% in tune with yourself. This makes you have mood swings as if you’re in a constant PMS. Okay, maybe it’s not that bad, but you get the picture.
When you work out regularly you hit out all the negative energy you accumulate throughout the day. That’s why it’s a good idea to work out either early in the morning (you have more energy throughout the day), or late at night (you’ll sleep like a baby).
Anyway, by working out, you’ll get rid of all that negative energy… all those people that you wish to CRUSH and that make you go mad suddenly don’t seem like such a big problem, you handle them with ease. Suddenly, everything seems more calm and easier to solve. Problems become challenges. Challenges become fun. Nothing seems unsolvable. Plus your bum is so tight that you can crush nuts with it, and even handsome guys behave like Colombian construction workers when you pass by, mamacita!
Come on, don’t act cool! A compliment is always nice.
Stuff that used to make you mad suddenly doesn’t affect you anymore. Basically, you stop giving a damn about crap you used to let bother you before. Making a shopping decision suddenly won’t take for 3 hours, you might cut it down to just one hour (which is a miracle for your boyfriend!). Decision-making in general will take you less time; you’ll have a better understanding about what you want in life.
5. You’ll Be Healthier and You’ll Feel Sexier
Obviously. When you work out regularly you develop a stronger body, soul and mind. So, amp up your body’s strength to a level that protects you from any type of health issues. When you do get sick, (hopefully you don’t) you’ll get healthy way faster. You’ll speed up your metabolism and strengthen your immune system. Your skin will be tight, and you’ll definitely look more fresh and younger. I’m always wondering why 20 something year olds let them self get fat, when with just a bit of effort they could look great. Then you see 30-40-year-old women that look way better than 20 year olds. What the F#$k? This younger generation is getting lazier and lazier. Photoshop doesn’t work when you actually go out on that date.
That’s it. There are dozens upon dozens of reasons why you should work out every-single-day, at least for 45 minutes. These where the main one’s.
Join a gym. Don’t be lazy. Making excuses and giving up is EASY, but it’s not the best choice. Suffer a bit today, and live a happier life tomorrow. It’s not easy, but nothing worth doing usually is.
Don’t think about it. Don’t try to decide whether you should visit the gym today or not – just GO. It’s a no-brainer. Go and that’s it. Forget about making stupid excuses. You probably heard the expression “there are no ugly women, just lazy one’s.” Whoever said that first definitely had a point.
There’s no excuse for being fat. Make the time for it. We all have 24 hours in a day and it’s impossible that you can’t organize yourself to work out for at least 45 minutes. Watch less TV. Throw it out. If you have kids, get a babysitter. Your guy will be HAPPY to take care of the kids if you say “I gotta go to the gym to stay sexy for you.” What guy will say no to that? Having “no time” is a lie – if you REALLY want to make time for it, you will.
Now drop and give me fifty!
Then share, tweet or like this, don’t be selfish.
I loved this article it so true an iv just stated working out an love it reading this is great:-)
Well, thanks a lot. Before I read this article I was thinking to let go of my gym because I didn’t go there for at least 1 week… Thanks for changing my mind :)
Thank you so much ur article really change my mind on gym….av start work on myself and it really feels gud.
….Seriously?
i totally love ur article….. i have gained 10kgs in last two years and i feel so under confident as well as unhealthy all the time… finally after a lot of excuse making i freaked out and joined the gym a month ago… have been exercising but still hafta rein in the wild diet… hopefully your dreadfully freaky article will help me stay away from that “just one” piece of cake…. i must say u shriek out- “now or never”……. thanjs for writing it for us lazy gals… its the much needed kick on my ass… love u for motivating me….
I always look for good motivation for myself and my fitness students. LOOKS ARE IMPORTANT- yes. But, all the reasons revolve around pleasing a man. Basically, you said guys don’t think being chubby is hot, so THAT IS WHY you should workout religiously. If that comment scares you into motivation, then that’s some insecure BS. I like the being confident in your skin aspect….but not (AGAINNN) when it relates to attracting attention. This was a bummer of an article, not a motivator.
@Alena,
This is what you can expect from an article written by a man. They think women revolve around them and keep sending prescriptions to women as if women are wild and stupid and need to be told the obvious all the darn time! If I want to be fit and sexy, best believe I am doing it for me and me alone…. well, if I was a mom then for my kids too. NEVER for a man!
