1. Grown out Roots Look

You’ve seen everyone do it since last year – from Sarah Jessica Parker to Jessica Biel, but the grown out roots look is still very popular and highly requested in the salons, especially as the weather is getting warmer and everyone is going for that coveted sun kissed kind of look.

The tricky thing about this trend is that getting the results you want usually isn’t as easy as growing out colored hair. You might have to spend a little more and get a great colorist to make it look perfectly blend out from your darker roots to the lighter ends, like some of those famous ladies.

2. Warm Tones

Everybody’s going warmer for spring, especially brunettes. The warmer color really illuminates the complexion. So, this spring, it’s all about those golden undertones and hints of caramel, cocoa, chocolate brown and similar shades. What’s better than a subtle change that can make a drastic difference?

3. Deep Reds

Shades like burgundy, crimson red, cherry red, and all those deep, earthy reds are more natural looking than the fiery one Rihanna was rocking up until recently. That one is totally passé these days. So, toning it down and going for a darker shade of red is the best way to go this spring and summer.

4. Splashes of Bold Colors

This one is for all the bold girls out there that aren’t afraid to rock out candy colored hair, such as Katy Perry, for instance. If you’re not up for going for something like bubble gum pink all the way, but would like to experiment with pops of color, you’ll be glad to hear this.

Adding random panels of unusual color to your hair, that can be fully visible only when you move, is huge these days, when it comes to hair color trends. This way you’ll be doing something that’s daring and different but doesn’t really yell, “I’m eccentric!”

5. Highlights

The chunkier, the better. That’s right, that one’s coming back. Only, this time, the end goal isn’t to get that stripy look, but to add depth with two or more shades of highlights applied in various sizes and placed strategically to accentuate texture.
