Do 3 sets of 10 to 20 repetitions. Breathe in as you lower your shoulders and breathe out as you lift them.
Lie flat on the floor in the same position as before: your knees bent and your hands behind your head. Cross your feet at the ankles and lift them off the ground, so that your calves are parallel to the floor. Your knees should create a 90-degree angle. Draw your knees toward the chest, and while doing it lift your hips off the floor and crunch them inward. Hold the contraction for a few seconds, and then return to your starting position and repeat the movement. Do 3 sets of 10 to 20 repetitions. Breathe in as you lower your shoulders and breathe out as you lift them up.
Lie on your left side with your left arm bent at the elbow. Your elbow should be under your shoulder and your right hand placed on your right hip (akimbo). Your legs are straight along the floor, and your feet stacked one on top of the other. Your ankles, hips, shoulders, and head are perfectly aligned. Contract your abdominal muscles, pull them inward, and slowly lift your body off the ground. Balance on your left forearm (the one that’s on the floor) and on the edge of your bottom foot. Hold the position for 20 to 30 seconds, and then release. Do this movement 10 to 15 times, and then repeat the entire sequence on the other side. Inhale up and exhale down.
Lie down on the floor with your knees bent, your fingers laced behind your head, and your right ankle positioned across your left knee. Pull your abdominal muscles in and lift your upper body off the floor in a twisting motion, aiming your left elbow toward your right knee. You right elbow should remain on the floor Contract your abdominal muscles, hold this position for 2 seconds, and then return to the starting position. Do 3 sets of 10 repetitions on each side. Again, inhale up and exhale down.
