9 Spring Makeup Must Haves!

When you’re out buying new clothes and shoes for this beautiful spring 2014 season, don’t forget to buy your spring makeup too!

I am a makeup queen. I’m a VIP Rouge at Sephora, and I honestly shop there about every two weeks. It’s an addiction, an obsession, and all-consuming. I take pride in the I products that I use on my face and skin.

Like my clothes though, I shop for my makeup seasonally. This means that I recently had to do my spring makeup haul, so I’m going to share with you what I bought! Here is what I recommend for this spring!

#1 Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick

Color: Muscat

I almost don’t know how to describe this color. It’s kind of like a mix between cool gray and nude. I really love this color because it’s a simple spring daytime look. While it’s fitting for spring makeup to wear a poppy pink or bright coral, such explosive colors may not always be appropriate for your outfit/daily situation. The Muscat color fits well for the “no makeup” makeup look.

#2 Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment

Color: Sugar Rose

Maybe you don’t like lipstick at all. Maybe you suffer from dry lips during the spring season from the temperature change. Either way, using the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment will help a lot. I like to wear this when I’m wearing absolutely no makeup or after a long day. It moisturizes your lips and gives a nice, light cherry color to them as well.

#3 Benefit Cosmetics Go TropiCORAL Lip & Cheek Kit

Time for the coral! Spring is the beginning of a healthy relationship that you’ll have with coral that lasts through summer, so why not invest in one of the top beauty brands right now?

#4 Sephora Collection Long Lasting Kohl Pencil

Color: 07 Infinite Beige

For some reason, I like the way nudes/grays look on my face. I like to use this eye pencil to line the bottom eyelid to make my eyes pop a little bit more. Just make sure not to press too hard. When I apply it, I try to create a shadow of the color vs. the full effect. If there’s too much white on your bottom lid, it can make your eyes look like you live in a winter wonderland (which is fine for Christmas, but it’s spring now!).

#5 Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar – Metallic

Color: Lovecraft

Here’s a pretty bold pink color for all you hardcore pink lovers out there (me). This color tricked me when I saw it in its little OCC packaging. Just for kicks, I saw the pink and thought I’d try it out in the store, and when I applied it, it had some shine to it! This is my first of the Metallic collection from the OCC Lip Tar. Metallic lip colors usually aren’t my thing, but if it’s pink, I’ll make an exception!

#6 Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof

Color: 10 Banana Split

Spring is the best time for yellow. Every time I see yellow, I think of something bright and fresh — a lot like spring. This liner lasts long and gives people a good reason to stare. To help my mascara pop against the color better, I like to line my eye with black liner first, and then line with yellow above (not on top of) the black.

#7 Buxom Full-On Lip Cream

Color: Cherry Flip

Every girl needs a nice lip-gloss that makes her lips shine and look fuller. I love Buxom because the brand image always reminds me of a sexy pin-up girl. The Cherry Flip lip-gloss is hot because it makes your lips literally look like a cherry lollipop.

#8 GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD

I’m sorry if the name of this product is screaming at you, but you need to hear the lovely results it provides. I know that this isn’t makeup, but there’s no point of putting makeup on a dull face. Good skin makes for better makeup. The GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD goes on cool, sits tingly, and washes off very easily. Even better: Your face looks rejuvenated. Use it after a stressful day, a few days before a big event, or just because.

#9 Urban Decay Naked Flushed

Color: Naked

Urban Decay, the palette god, has yet another palette for you to convince yourself that you need. You may not, but I certainly did. The blush in this palette is a color that I didn’t have and I like to simultaneously mix it with the highlighter in the set to make my cheeks rosy and glow. I also like to use the bronzer to add a little bit of warmth to my face since I don’t always have the time to get all the sun that I need.
