8 Ways to Quickly Get Rid of Blackheads

Blackheads are one of the most common skin flaws. Basically everybody’s had a few at some point. But getting rid of these nasty little things doesn’t have to be hard at all, check out these 8 super easy ways of doing it.

There are better ways of getting rid of them, than simply trying to squeeze them out, which usually results in inflammation of that whole area and creates an even bigger disaster.

1. Use Glue

Yes, glue. Make sure it’s non-toxic though. In fact it’s best to go with something like Elmers glue. Frist you need to steam your face. If you don’t own a steamer you can do this over a bowl of boiling water. Afterwards apply the glue to the troubled areas of your face and wait until it dries off. Then, peal it off, and see the amazing results.

2. Toothpaste

Get a toothbrush especially for this and apply a small amount of toothpaste on it. Run it through water and gently scrub the affected area for a little while. You can do this every couple of days, and it will make the situation so much better in no time. Just make sure you don’t get some in your eye, and you sterilize the toothbrush after every use with boiling hot water.

3. Homemade Lotion

Make this super effective homemade lotion and apply it on your skin a couple of times a week, it’ll help you not only with blackheads but with other skin issues such as discoloration. All you need is lime juice, almond oil and glycerin – mix the same amount of these and there you have it – a miracle working homemade lotion!

4. Egg White

Beat one egg white and rub it in your skin with your fingers. Put toilet paper over it so it kind of sticks to your face and leave it on until it dries. When you see that the toilet paper got stiff it’s time to peal it off. Next, wash your face with warm water and pat it dry.

5. Toothpaste and Olive / Almond Oil

Wash your face with warm water to open up the pores. Put a little bit of toothpaste on a cloth that you’ve soaked in olive or almond oil and gently rub it on the affected area of your skin. You can massage your face with this for up to 5 minutes before you wash it off with warm water and dab your face dry with a clean cloth.

6. Tomatoes

First you’ll need to slice the tomato into shapes that you can place on the areas that you have blackheads on. After cleaning your face with warm water and drying it off, place the tomato on your face and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Afterwards wash your face again and make sure you don’t use any product so that the tomato can work its magic.

7. Honey

This one’s super easy. Warm up a little amount of honey and apply it on the affected areas of your face. Wait 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off with warm water.

8. Lime Juice and Salt

Mix the two together to get an extremely effective face scrub you can use every day, but you’ll find it unnecessary after couple of days – that’s how great it works.

    • I’ve mixed regular salt, lime juice, and olive oil and started using that yesterday. My face is sore and red but I think that as I go that will go away. I notice embedded blackheads coming out on their own. I will continue using this. I want to use it once a day, maybe it’s too harsh for my type of skin that’s why my face is sore. Give me more advice…I hope this will help, and maybe I should continue the Metrogel. I will ask the doctor if he can refer me to a dermo, so I can get accutane. I was on that once and had side effects I didn’t like. I’ll see what she says. I’m drinking more water, so that should help flush the toxins out of my body. Thank you.

  • OMG, my skin is super yucky with b/heads, w/heads, and pustules. I’m so sick of always trying make my skin look healthy. It’s a never-ending battle. The dermo gave me antibiotics, metrogel, but I have no patience to do this every day. I want some easy and hope one day I wake up to smooth skin. Maybe, I won’t ever have beautiful skin again. I don’t know where the h I got rosacea from but I’m the only in the family, and I hate it. It depresses me to have ugly skin. I am not using pure extra virgin olive oil to moisturize and clean the pores out. I am drinking some water I should drink at least a litre a day. God help me, I have to pray about this. I’ve live with this awful thing for a few years now. I think maybe I should go back to using Metrogel and follow the doc’s orders, but I’ve lost confidence in everything I’ve tried. I have regular facials, but they don’t help either. I have to be the one with the worse skin. I’m almost 70 so am very self-concsious when I go out. Please help. I see alot of the advice and ways to help, but am jus not convinced right now. Thank you.
