11 Items Every Woman Needs In Her Purse

If you are like me, you carry around your whole life in your purse. Some of these things may not be essentials, but some are. Here is what any woman who is always on the go should have in her purse.

My purse is always filled to the brim with everything that I deem important—sometimes to the point where it won’t zipper up. I always tend to be on the go, so I carry a lot with me.

Some of these items I have with me aren’t important, but others are. I am not going to include the obvious of what every woman should have in their purse in this article: keys, wallet and phone go without saying. Here is what every busy woman should have in their purse at all times.

1. Phone Charger

If you are like me, you may be out all day. We all know that our phone does not have that kind of battery life. Always carry a charger in your purse with you. Whether it be a portable charger or a wall charger, it is a necessity.

2. Deodorant

I am completely serious: I believe that carrying around deodorant in your purse is an essential. You never know if you are going to get hot or have to move around during the day, and it is always important to stay fresh and sweat-free. Of course, you can buy a travel sized deodorant so that it fits in your purse.

3. Pads/Tampons

I feel as though this one goes without saying in a way as well. Ladies, if it is that time of the month for you, always carry around an extra pad or tampon—whichever you prefer to wear on your period. There is nothing worse than not having an extra one of those.

4. Chap Stick

The feeling of dry lips is definitely not a comfortable one. Invest in some chap stick to always store in your purse—or maybe even two or three because it is so easy to lose them. My favorite is Burt’s Bees’ Coconut Pear.

5. Small Makeup Bag

If you wear makeup, definitely keep a few essentials in a small makeup bag so the products won’t spill out in your purse. I recommend always having pressed powder, mascara and lipstick on hand.

6. Hand Lotion

Just as how having dry, chapped lips is uncomfortable, the same applies to having dry hands. I recommend always having a small bottle of hand lotion with you. My favorite to have in my purse is the EOS’s Cucumber lotion.

7. Hand Sanitizer

You never know what kind of situation you may run into that will leave you needing to get the germs off of your hands as quickly as possible.

I always carry around hand sanitizer with me. The one I currently have is Mad About You from Bath & Body Works. It doesn’t have to be one that smells like straight up alcohol.

8. Dental Floss

No, I am not kidding. It has happened to me so many times when food gets caught in my teeth when I eat something, and I wish that I had dental floss with me.

So, I started carrying around a travel sized dental floss case with me. Invest in one; you won’t regret it. It will come in handy.

9. Granola Bar

I find that granola bars are always a good snack to have in your purse when you are on the go. They tend to be small, and they are a healthy and satisfying snack to nibble on.

My favorite granola bars are KIND, Luna and Cliff bars. All are vegan and come in many flavors. Also, if you have room in your purse, carry a water bottle as well.

10. Gum/Mints

I always have gum or mints on me in my purse. Often, I get asked if I have them. I also just keep them for myself. I want to have fresh breath all day—especially when it’s been a while since I brushed my teeth in the morning.

11. Feminine Wipes

Personally, I keep these in my car since the package does not fit into my small purse, but keeping feminine wipes with you is always a good idea if you are running around all day, or you go to the gym during the day.

It’s always important to stay fresh and clean—especially down there. Two brands that make very good feminine wipes are Summer’s Eve and Always. There’s nothing embarrassing about staying clean and having these with you, ladies!
