6 Fun Things to Do on a Lazy Saturday

After repeating TGIF for many, many times on Friday, Saturday morning finally rolled in. Need some ideas what to do?

On Saturdays you don’t wake up to the sound of the alarm clock. It’s time you pressed the pause button on anything workweek related and breath in the weekend. Everything you do on Saturday should be either sweet, beautiful, happy-go-lucky, funny or simply relaxing.

1. Read Your Horoscope

Why not? I’m not the one to check my daily horoscope, but Saturday is the day when TO DO lists become NOT TO DO lists and vice versa. Also, there is something nice in reading about the stars shining on your life to influence it this or that way. I start with health, than money, than the best is saved for the end – LOVE. So, I choose to say ‘thank you stars’ for the good things and keep the bad ones away. So, what’s your sign?

2. Watch a Movie

Enjoy the quick trip to Paris with Two Days In Paris. And no, not the made up, costumed Paris you’ve seen in every other movie. This is Paris, the home town of the main lady Marion, played by sweet and quirky Julie Delpy. Paris of tiny, dusty apartments and eccentric in-laws, that will confuse and terrify Marion’s American boyfriend. Paris of old friends and old loves. Paris of weird poetry nights. Paris we could all live in.

3. Bake Some Muffins

Treat yourself and someone you adore with homemade sweets. For this recipe you don’t need a lot of baking skills, besides turning on the oven and some mixing.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1.6 cups flour
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • ¼ cup of yogurt
  • 2/3 cup of cocoa powder
  • dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbs of baking powder

Preheat the oven to 390 °F. Mix all the ingredients well and pour the mixture into the muffin pans, filling each cup two-thirds full. Bake 12-15 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center and if it comes out clean they’re done!

4. Sit in Front of a Mirror

Allow yourself a bubble bath. Make a homemade face or hair mask. Then sit in front of the mirror and enjoy the view for a while. You deserve a good rest after working hard all week. You can even try a new hair style. Are you up for some braiding action?

5. Go out!

Just get dressed and get out of the house. For a walk, for a coffee, alone or with someone dear. Just get out and breath!

6. Play Bingo

We often overlook this activity because, in our minds, it is something for old ladies. You should believe me when I say that bingo can be incredibly fun to play, plus it gives you the chance to win some real money. You can go out with friends to play it, but don’t worry about having to put on your best dress and trek to a local hall because you can stay at home in your pyjamas and play online on bingo sites using your smartphone , tablet or PC. If you’re unsure about where to start, then try using jackpotjanebingo. There’s a pretty large selection of bingo sites to check out over there.

And finally, I admit it, the lazy Saturday is not so lazy. But you must admit it’s relaxing. So many fun things to do in just one day: reading, watching a movie, baking, relaxing and a walk. At the end of the day you might be exhausted, but you’re still left with one spare day of the weekend to fill, that you might even wish to repeat them all. Happy Saturday!
