10 Fab Ways to Wear a Romper in 2013

The romper is in fact one of those retro revivals that fashion has brought back this year from a couple of decades ago and has now become a major trend for both young and older women.

Those of you who are over 40 will probably remember very well the romper (also called jumpsuit or playsuit in some parts of the English-speaking world) from their youth.

The fact is that the modern woman now wants not only to look glamorous in what she is wearing, but also feel comfortable and be able to run around all day running her errands in the city jungle.

For this reason, the romper has fast become one of the favorite items for this year, thanks to its practicality and the fact that you can get dressed just in one go.

This winter we have seen lots of them in the street, and it is happening again also this summer, with the shorter versions that literally everyone wears. The reason that we see so many of them is because the romper can be worn to a large variety of occasions, from the city to the beach, from a wedding to a night out.

The only thing you need to consider when you are looking for a romper is actually the fit and the cut. In fact, it is not the easiest item to wear if you don’t have a model-like body, so you have to be super careful in choosing one that flatters your body shape.

If you are a bit curvy look for something that is tight on the waist and has a straight cut, not adding bulk – especially on your hips.

Let’s start with a total black outfit, that is super modern and tough. It is also a very chic color, and it is no coincidence that it is also the favorite color of fashion editors and insiders.

To wear black in a cool and modern way, you can go for a short romper with a deep v-neckline and spaghetti straps, a comfortable and big cross-body bag, a super cool hat and a pair of fierce leather ankle boots!

A super sophisticated yet quite effortless look, perfect for the really fashionable women.

2. Super cute at the beach

As I have said in the introduction, rompers can be worn really easily on the beach and this model here in the picture is simply perfect for this occasion. Choose it in a pastel color for a feminine look and in a light material to keep the heat away.

A cut-out on your midriff area is really modern and young, so you can play with that in your super cute romper.

Yellow is a color that reminds me immediately of Africa and those ethnic cultures. A yellow romper is definitely eye-catching and it is especially great if is has some small patterns and prints on it.
