Blair Waldorf Style Secrets

This is your one and only source into the fabulous fashion of Manhattan’s elite, starring none other than Leighton Meester as the original Queen B, Blair Waldorf.

If the television screen is any indication of whom the original Queen B is, “Gossip Girl” shows us that she goes by the name of Blair Waldorf. While Serena Van der Woodsen’s style was soft and contemporary, Blair had a flair for the dramatics. Her wardrobe was eclectic and glamorous and often had her friends and viewers wondering how they could ever pull off that outfit.

Like the other fashion queen of New York, Carrie Bradshaw, Blair was never afraid to step outside the fashion norms. Here’s a look into Blair’s fabulous wardrobe from “Gossip Girl.”

Simply sophisticated

In this sophisticated look, Blair Waldorf looks nothing short of sophisticated. She is able to elongate her body and accentuate her waist with tan high-waisted trousers and pink pumps. She adds a pop of color with her floral top and finished with a small handbag clutch that includes a Blair Waldorf trademark – a bow.

Morbidly beautiful

We’re not sure how someone with an outfit as flawless as this could look so subdued. In a look that seems to belong on the streets of Paris, Blair’s outfit includes a navy pencil skirt and white blouse. On this blouse, she wears an embellished cravat that almost works like a statement necklace. She wears a black and red trench coat that she pairs with black gloves and a handbag with ruffled details.

Standing in the streets of New York, Queen B is definitely not afraid of showing off her style. In one of her showier and bolder looks, Blair wears black stockings with an assortment of greens and yellows. Although she wears a dress underneath, the focus is on her green cape that she wears with dark green velvet gloves. She keeps the color going with a yellow handbag and bright yellow pumps.

Mixed prints

No one’s raining on Blair and her fashion parade. In this outfit, Blair is seen mixing prints and showing off her tiny waist. Ms. Waldorf wears a blue high-neck top that appears to have a watercolor pattern. She wears an A-line skirt that flares at her thighs but gives her a great hourglass look. Her outfit is complete with minimal jewelry and a blue snakeskin purse.

Bright & bold

No matter what season it is, Blair Waldorf isn’t afraid of a little color. In this bright spring look, Queen B ditches the green and yellow for orange and yellow. Her outfit includes a yellow blouse that features a ruffled detail going down the bodice. With the blouse, she models a floral mini skirt that has small floral designs along the front and pleated details along the hem. Adding more color to this spring outfit, she carried a bright orange tote bag and struts around in orange pumps.

Professionally put-together

If there was one thing Blair Waldorf was good at, it was being a professional. Whether she was running her school, handling her friends, or getting rid of her enemies, Blair was always clean and precise. In this professional look, Blair rocks a green tweed outfit that does well to shape her figure. Never afraid to make her own fashion rules, she wears a floral blouse underneath and pairs the outfit with gray and green pumps.

Mixed prints (part two)

One of the many things loved about Blair Waldorf is her creation of her own eccentric outfits. If one mixed print outfit wasn’t enough, this outfit was even more out of the box than the original. Blair wears a white blouse with large cherries acting as the design. She pairs this with another A-line skirt that features multi-colored apples. With an explosion of even more color, she finishes her outfit with a purple and silver shoulder bag.

In her own take on the monochromatic look, Queen B definitely makes it work. Everyone was probably checking her out in this black, white, and gray checkered trench coat. While her coat is fabulous, the real star of the show might be her lace tights that feature a beautiful floral pattern on them. In this fall/winter look, she wears black and silver pumps with a gray beret and white handbag.

Simple school girl

With the outfits worn in Gossip Girl, it’s hard to believe that they start out as 16 and 17-year-olds. In the outfit that actually makes Blair seem as if she’s a junior in high school, she wears a simple pink and blue dress that she cinches at the waist with a gray belt. She wears dark tights and black flats that she pairs with a gray trench coat.

Girl next door

As ruthless as Blair could be, it was sometimes hard to forget that she could actually be sweet. In a cute, ‘girl next door’ outfit, Blair keeps it simple with an orange top that features a crocheted detail around the neck. She wears it with a white and pink floral skirt, and always looking to add a pop of color, she finishes the outfit with green peep toe sandals.

New York might be the best fashion capital of the world, so it’s only right that Queen B tried to set some trends while she was there.
