Ariana is one of America’s most-loved young stars at the moment. She shot to fame when she first appeared in Nickelodeon’s Victorious four years ago, and has since starred in the Victorious and iCarly spin-off, Sam & Cat, as well as launching a successful pop career. Part of Ariana’s charm is her fun and girly personality, as well as her super cute style. She described her fashion sense as “Feminine. It’s pretty casual and girl and classic and chilled.” – and we love it! Here’s how you can copy her style.

How to get Ariana’s hairstyle

For the first few years she played Cat Valentine, Ariana had to bleach and dye her hair every other week to get that rich red hair color that Cat is so well known for. Ariana said that the regular bleaching and dyeing has destroyed her hair, so she now wears a wig when acting, and extensions to boost her natural hair. She pretty much always wears her hair in a pony tail, because her hair is so damaged it’s the only way she can make it look good – there’s a lesson against dyeing your hair regularly!

To get the look, take the top section of your hair and tie it in a pony tail with a hair elastic. With a curling iron or a curling wand, curl your hair all over, including the hair in the pony tail. Lightly brush or comb out the curls to make them softer and bouncier, then clip in a cute bow over the elastic. How to do Ariana’s makeup

Ariana almost always wears very simple and fresh makeup, even for red carpet events. Use a foundation, concealer and powder to get a really flawless, matte base. Tidy up and fill in your brows if you need it – Ariana always has fantastic face-framing eyebrows – and add a sweep of light, shimmery eyeshadow in a neutral color. Using a black or brown liquid eyeliner or eyeliner pen, add a thin line above your upper eyelashes, and flick out at the sides. Curl your eyelashes and add a couple of coats of mascara, and finish with a pop of rosy pink lipstick. Keep the whole look light and fresh – this is a more natural look, Ariana never looks overly ‘done’.

Ariana is only 20 years old so she’s still very much experimenting with her style, but she does have a couple of signature looks. For red carpet events she loves cute and flirty dresses: they’re almost always fitted at the top with a flared skirt. For more casual wear, she often opts for simple cropped tops and flared mini skirts or skorts, especially matching sets. She also loves covering up with fluffy cardigans and coats when the weather is a bit cooler! Besides her favorite hair bows, she loves incorporating other girly elements into her personal style: sweet Peter Pan collars, soft pastel colors, floral prints, pearl earrings, and her super cute Rilakkuma iPhone case!

The great thing about Ariana’s style is that it’s easy to recreate on a budget. She wears a lot of Alice + Olivia, Nasty Gal and Wildfox Couture, but stores like Forever21, H&M and Topshop are full of the matching separates, flirty flared dresses and high-waisted shorts that Ariana is so fond of too. Choose little tops and skirts in baby blues, pastel pink and lilac, or cute floral patterns, and mix and match them together. Ariana usually keeps her shoes pretty simple; she loves to wear nude or black platform pumps, or thick-soled sneakers and skate shoes for more casual outfits.
