Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have your favorite type of shoe in every color? I know I would like that. Now, let’s stop and think about that…
What if your favorite type of shoe is high heels? You surely can’t go mountain climbing with them—your feet would die. But, when you go on a date or spend the evening out with friends, you don’t want to go out in your hiking boots either. For a minute, consider how you would look going out in your finest outfit with a pair of hiking boots or beach sandals or even wearing sneakers with an evening dress. It just wouldn’t fit.
This is why women need shoes for every occasion. However, this does not mean that you need 20 or even 10 pairs of shoes. Let’s have a look at the shoes every woman should have in her closet.
Comfort in Walking Flat
Flats are great to have and every woman should at least have one pair of them. They go beautifully with most clothes—shorts, jeans, skirts and some sundresses.
Some flats, like sandals, are quick to slip on and they come in handy if you are in a hurry to go somewhere. You can wear them at home, while spending time with your kids, shopping, at the park or while playing with the dog.
If your feet hurt from other shoes then flats are a great choice as they give your feet a break.
They are so very comfortable to wear. In today’s fashion-orientated world, we find a huge choice of sneakers from which to choose. We can get them in rainbow and neon colors, plain or patterned. We can get ones that have air-pump soles, none-skid soles and thick or thin soles. Sneakers go well with most casual outfits and are actually a very useful pair of shoes.
All moms must have sneakers so that they are able to keep up with their kids. Running around all day at work and then still having to do it over weekends can truly have a numbing effect on a woman’s feet!
Boots are mostly seen as a winter shoe, but it is a shoe with many options from knee-high leather boots to fluffy booties, heeled or flat. You can get lace-ups, zips or straps. You will also find them in different colors, but—as with most leather boots—you will usually find them in black, gray, brown, beige and white.
Boots are the perfect complement to a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved top with a scarf or coat when the weather gets cooler, which is why they’re a must in every woman’s closet.
Heels, Heels and More Heels
This range of shoes may very well be the biggest of all the options. High-heeled shoes can be worn to a variety of events, go well with most outfits and, depending on your work, can be worn daily.
However, if you stand for several hours in the day or will be walking more than usual, heeled shoes are more likely to tire your feet so make sure you choose a heel height that won’t cause you pain throughout the day.
Heeled shoes can make a plain outfit look stunning. They can be used as a weapon for self-defense. When attacked, you can kick the person or step on their toes with your heel; this will hurt and give you time to get away. I have also seen heeled shoes used as a hammer, which can be handy as well.
When it comes to sport, the ideal shoe will depend on the sport you do. Each sporting activity requires different support and I’m not talking about back support, knee braces or shoulder pads. I’m talking about the support you need for your feet. Wearing the wrong pair of shoes while taking part in your favorite sports can not only cause you discomfort, but could result in injury.
If you feel like working out at the gym or going for a jog, you definitely don’t want to wear any of your other shoes. Therefore, a good pair of jogging shoes is needed. If you like mountain climbing, cycling or snowboarding, you are going to need an athletic shoe that will be comfortable and light to wear while giving support in all the right places.
With just one pair of each of these types of shoes, you’ll be ready to rule the world no matter what the situation. Do you have a favorite shoe? Please share your thoughts and ideas on these shoes and more.
