Being Single Doesn’t Mean You Can’t Be Sexy And Fabulous

In today´s modern world, many women seem to forget that being single can be a fabulous thing. Are you single and waiting to mingle? Here´s how to do single the right way!

I was always the single girl. I watched as all my friends had boyfriend after boyfriend. I had always wondered what it was that I was doing wrong? Why could I not find a man worth dating?

I decided to use my time as a single woman wisely. I stopped worrying about men and focused on myself. During that time, I learned more about myself than I ever had. I felt more fabulous than ever.

In the midst of it all, I made a decision to go to Germany as an au pair for a year. It was during this step where I met the love of my life. Finally, I had met a man who was everything I had been waiting for. He is my soon-to-be hubby.

If I had never taken time to truly focus on myself, I never would have traveled, come to know what it was I wanted in life or have met my future husband.

Love seems to come once you learn about yourself and love the woman you are. Use the time as a single woman wisely. It´s the time to work on your relationship with yourself, which is the most rewarding thing that you can do for yourself.

As Carrie Bradshaw said, “The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that´s just fabulous”.

Being single used to mean that you weren’t wanted by anyone. Now, it has evolved into being independent and not needing anyone by your side. Stating you’re a single woman gives you a sense of empowerment because it means that you are doing it on your own.

We all know why we love our sexy and single selves is because we are able to do whatever we want. Are you ready to take these exciting steps to become the fabulous woman that you are?

1. Learn how to enjoy being alone

This is a huge step, I know. You should learn to enjoy your own company. Remember the focus is to improve the relationship with yourself. The relationship that you have with yourself plays an important role when it comes to the relationships that you will have with others.

It´s important for you to like who you are as a person. Start by taking some time for yourself. Begin doing little activities alone, such as taking fifteen minutes to read a book you enjoy. Or, cook your favorite meal for yourself because you’re fabulous and you deserve it.

I am challenging you to get out of your comfort zone here, ladies. I dare you to do the unspeakable and go to a public place alone. Go to a nice restaurant by yourself, see a movie alone or grab an after-work drink with just yourself.

Why do this you may ask? This opens you up to being more comfortable with yourself. Learning to be alone with yourself gives you time to recharge, become independent, find out what you are truly interested in and to appreciate your current relationships. It also helps to reduce your anxiety over being alone.

Treat yourself to something special, for you. It’s like you are dating yourself. Trust me: after a while it becomes empowering. How wonderful would it be to escort yourself to dinner because you are just that fabulous?

2. Change your mindset

Every day, try and focus on doing one thing for yourself that makes you happy. This can´t be something that comes from somebody else; it must come from you.

It´s healthy to take time out of your day to do something for yourself. Take just five minutes a day to write down the one thing you did for yourself that day, then explain why it made you feel happy. Not only will this be therapeutic, but it’ll be something positive to read as time goes on. Get creative and experiment. Find out what it is that you enjoy in life.

It´s important to be able to reflect and be alone with your own thoughts—to have time to think by yourself. You have to figure out what you like and dislike. It´s hard to know what you’re looking for when you don´t even know what it is you want. The goal is to become in tune with yourself.

3. Go for it

Do the things you´ve always wanted to do. Take that yoga class you´ve been dying to try out. Apply for that job you really want. Travel to wherever it is you desire. Drink five margaritas before noon. The point is to just do it. Get out there and experience. You will do nothing but grow, learn and feel fabulous in the process.

4. Too fabulous for you

You know the saying: “If you look good, then you feel good”. This is true. Take care of yourself. This doesn’t mean working out and juicing daily, but if you find the motivation to do so then, by all means, go for it. Just do something to get your heart rate up for the day.

My favorite exercise, which I highly recommend, is Tiffany Rothe´s workout videos which you can find on her YouTube channel. It´s just the right amount of work for me. Plus, doing her workouts makes me feel sexy and healthy.

Just remember to treat yourself as the fabulous woman that you are. Put on that red lipstick and wear those heels that everyone says are too high because you are a single woman who is fabulous enough to do whatever she wants. Are you feeling fabulous yet? Please share with us! We want to hear.
