Clutches are hotter than ever and among them you can find some amazing pieces, with studs, precious stones, fur and various fabrics. Marchesa and Alexander McQueen seem to adore these clutches, which are all about details. On the other hand, there are simple and minimalistic purses, like the ones presented by Valentino, which are equally elegant and sophisticated. The question is: which ones do you like better? 50 Shades of Red
Luxurious and sexy red is only growing stronger in fashion circles. From light Valentino red to darker shades like crimson, red is the most popular color of the upcoming fall/winter 2012-13 seasons. Whether you choose a box clutch, small purse with a chain or leather, valet like body cross bag, you can turn every outfit into a chic one with a touch of red.
Simplicity
Calm and natural colors, simple and timeless shape and leather as a main fabric are another big trend among evening bags. Marni, Givenchy and Valentino presented us absolute classics – clutches that are elegant and romantic, that are appropriate for every age or occasion. All of them are in black, so with the right pair of shoes and a little dress in a color of your choice, you have an outfit that you will be able to wear for many seasons to come. Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs and Lanvin went for equally elegant looks, but in autumn colors, like tan, blue and purple.
Prints
While snake prints are still among the most popular, especially among Marchesa’s and Brahmin’s collections of evening bags, other prints are still out there. Balenciaga made an interesting mix of popular red, leopard print with a gold detail, while Gareth Pugh showed us his futuristic and geometric innovations, with a collection of sharp and daring evening bags. Even floral prints are still attractive and trendy, but they are gone dark, becoming more suitable for cold and grey days.
Go for Gold
Dolce&Gabbana, Marchesa, Burberry, Chanel and Alexander McQueen agree that there is nothing like a little gold clutch to complete an outfit for a special event. Attention to details on these little bags is outstanding. You can choose between various fall colors, as long as the one that sticks out is gold. With these clutches, you don’t need jewelry, because they are powerful and luxurious enough to make any outfit shine.
Silver & Black
Lace and studs on silver metallic or black background are another way to show off your lady like style and make the room sparkle. While gold is an amazing choice for A list events, black & silver clutches are less formal, but still red carpet worthy. Roger Vivier and Chanel’s Paris-Bombay collections made this trend, while others found it interesting enough to follow. These bags will look even more amazing with rich silver necklaces or oriental inspired hair pieces.
