STYLES

Bomber Jackets

One of the hottest trends for fall 2016 is the bomber jacket. Whether you’re wearing it with a casual look or a dressed up outfit, this can immediately give you the edge you need. Models Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are seen wearing bomber jackets with more casual outfits of leggings and sneakers. Bomber jackets are also great for adding a causal, edgy look to a more sophisticated outfit. Pairing a black midi skirt, white crop top, and khaki bomber jacket are the quick ingredients for a great look.

Dusters

Another great look to go after this fall is with a duster. Not only do these long styles work with an assortment of clothes, but they also work perfectly for the transitioning weather. Although they are long and often end at maxi length, they are lightweight which makes them perfect for layering as well. In this outfit, we see the duster worn with a long white dress, but it can be worn with anything from jeans to a mini dress to shorts.

Over the Knee Boots

Over the knee boots are another beloved must-have item of the fall. Although you might see celebrities like the Kardashians and Jenners wearing these in the summer, the style explodes in the fall. Over the knee boots are great with oversized sweaters and mini dresses. As seen in this outfit, they can also be paired with skinny jeans.

Ponchos

One hot commodity we saw appear in the fashion world last fall was the cape, but this year, we’re all for the poncho. Although ponchos are always a great way to dive right into fall fashion, they are perfect for those colder fall days. Stylish and warm, the poncho will help keep the haters and the weather at bay. Ponchos work well with long sleeve tops or turtlenecks.

Suede Skirts

One trend that isn’t going away for fall 2016 is the suede skirt. Over the past two years, we’ve seen some of the biggest fashion from the 70s and 90s make a return, and the suede skirt is one look from the 70s that is here to stay. Not only is the textured look of the suede skirt in, but the material is perfect for the colder weather.

The fall season brings about a lot of ‘hipster’ looks, and the suede skirt is one thing that can help accomplish this style. This fabulous fall outfit features a black turtleneck paired with a suede mini skirt and black over the knee boots.

Tartan Scarves

When it comes to tartan scarves, we’re sure most people are confused as to exactly what that is, but let me just tell you that it’s in. Seeing the difference between tartan and plaid is very slight. While plaid tends to have more symmetrical designs, the designs of a tartan scarf rotate from bigger to small spaces. A great way to incorporate more color into this fall outfit, we see a black skirt paired with a red and green scarf and red Hunter rain boots.

COLORS

When it comes to the fall, there are a few colors you will see pop out in the fashion. While summer and spring bring about bright and bold colors, the fall season calls for muted and deeper tones.

Aubergine

Most people probably don’t know exactly what aubergine is when they hear it, but it is a deep purple. Expected to be seen a lot this season, this aubergine trench coat is a perfect example of how to incorporate the color into your wardrobe.

Burgundy

Burgundy is a great fall color because it seems to be the happy medium between a red, purple, and brown. Although this outfit might seem suited for a colder winter day, the burgundy coat works well with the lower temperatures of the season.

Camel

Another color we’re excited to see this fall is camel. Although this color is often referred to as brown, camel is lighter with a tan and yellow undertone to it. This look shows a great fall outfit featuring ripped denim, a black turtleneck, white Adidas, and a camel trench coat.

Khaki

Although this color used to be referred to as olive green, the fashion world has changed its name to khaki. We’re all used to the light beige trousers being referred to as khakis, but now, things just got a bit more confusing. Khaki might be the hottest color of the fall 2016 season. It can be seen from Gigi Hadid’s bomber jacket and this beautiful wrap skirt that is paired with a black midi dress underneath and black heels.

We hope you’re ready for the fall season! The sun will soon set on summer and we’re hoping that with this 2016 Fall Fashion Guide, you and your fashion worries will be at bay!
